What To Expect
Trying to escape the concrete jungle of the busy city? Get ready to enjoy a unique daily hike in calm forests on the hills of Buda around the city. During a few hours walk in the beautiful nature, you are going to have breathtaking views on Budapest and hear interesting stories that you wouldn't find in any guide book. I will take you to all the secret spots and lead you on off-the-beaten-path trails, which are not even known by most of the locals either. During the hike I will teach you how to read trail markers so you can't get lost, even if you are alone without a map or GPS. I am a nature fan, I will also show you the little miracles of the woods. As I grew up here, you will have the chance to talk with me about life in Hungary, and there are no taboos in this conversation. Join me and receive your surprise after the hike, a little gift for completing the hiking tour. It is going to be a real refreshment after the crowded, noisy city, nature is going to fill you up with energy! :)

5.00I can’t recommend this hiking tour enough if you are looking for a chance to catch your breath and enjoy being surrounded by nature after experiencing much sightseeing in the city. Laszlo was the perfect guide. His combination of passion for the outdoors along with a little history of the area made it very interesting and enjoyable. Being a keen hiker, this was probably the best tour I did on my trip. The walk through the Buda Hills is not difficult and does not require full hiking gear. This makes it suitable for most people. At first I was concerned I might be the only person booked but 2 others joined the group. Having met Laszlo I would be happy to do this if no one else had come along.

5.00I did this tour with my parents and we all found it very enjoyable. It's a great option for anyone who likes spending time in nature and wants to see a different side of Budapest. Our guide was very informative and knowledgeable, making the hike both interesting and fun. Along the way, we learned about different types of mushrooms and trees, as well as some interesting facts about Budapest in general. One thing I thought was particularly cool was learning about an app that can identify different bird species from their sounds - we even got to try it during the hike! The Buda Hills are beautiful, and the tour offered a nice balance of walking, learning, and enjoying the scenery. Overall, it was a really enjoyable experience and one that I'd happily recommend to anyone looking to spend a few hours outdoors while learning something new.

5.00A great way to see Budapest from a different perspective. Laszlo is a knowledgeable, competent and thoughtful guide. The hike was a great way to see Budapest from the hills and to learn a lot more about the area. The views were spectacular from the top. Would highly recommend the hike.

5.00This was such a great Budapest adventure. The hike was beautiful. Laszlo was such an informative guide. He had so much info about the history of the area, and the trees, plants, bugs etc. He also had great recommendations about other must see/do experiences in Budapest.

5.00Laszlo is the best! It was great to get out of the city and back to nature for a few hours in the Buda hills. A “go at your own pace” walk in the woods and spectacular panoramic vistas were just the antidote for the previous days, which were spent in several central European cities. The spring birdsong was a bonus.

It was the perfect length for anyone looking to discover the beauty of Buda’s mountains without having a prior hiking experience and without spending a lot of money!! We had the most fun with our guide Laszlo and the people in our group, 10/10 experience would recommend this hike to anyone!

5.00Laszlo was amazing! We first explored the Ram Gorge and then to the volcanic rocks and tower look out on Prédikálószék. It was a full day of hiking but filled with his insights about mushrooms, geography, geology, changes in nature, trees, birds, flowers, etc. It was a wonderful day trip that I highly recommend, not too far out of Budapest city.

5.00We spent a lovely morning with Laszlo. He arrived early and had sorted out our transport. We were lucky enough to spend over three hours hiking through the Buda hills with him. His knowledge of local history, flora & fauna and wildlife really made the trip for us.
