Hiroshima Castle, also known as Carp Castle, is a historic landmark in Hiroshima, Japan. Our guide was fabulous and the tour very informative. I came away with a whole new appreciation of how the bomb affected those in and around Hiroshima, including feelings and opinions now. Highly recommended.

Our tour with Emi was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. Emi shared a deeply personal connection to Hiroshima—her great-grandfather died in the atomic bombing—and her perspective brought an incredible level of authenticity and emotion to the experience. Her storytelling skills were exceptional. From beginning to end, she completely captivated my 19- and 17-year-old daughters, which is no small feat. She masterfully wove together the historical context, the Japanese perspective, the events leading up to August 6, 1945, and the devastating aftermath. The subject matter is heartbreaking, but Emi presented it with compassion, insight, and just the right amount of detail (even some humor woven in). We left with a much deeper appreciation of Hiroshima’s history and the resilience of its people. Can’t recommend this enough. We followed this with a tour of the museum (skipping the island as we only had one day). Again, probably one of our favorite days in Japan.

Chisa was great! I was alone on the tour, and she still conducted the tour. Very nice, very attentive. I was also recommended a very good sushi restaurant! I would definitely book it again.

We had a fantastic morning tour with the wonderful Emi in Hiroshima. We were so lucky that we were the only people who had booked and we were given her full knowledgable attention. Thank you Emi for making our time in Hiroshima memorable.

We had a great experience with our walking tour in Hiroshima. Emmy (not sure of the spelling) was great. Very passionate about her country and the devastation that happened with the A bomb. Her grandmother was living in Hiroshima when it happened. She knew her facts and was very good.

Thomas was an excellent guide. We learnt so much and he was a super friendly and kind. The pace was perfect. We also really appreciated Mei’s patience with us. We were having issues with our vacation itinerary and she was so flexible and responsive. I was very annoying I’m sure, but I wasn’t made to feel an inconvenience in any way. Thanks guys. We had a fabulous time.
