The activity lesson is held at Samurai Honor, a one-minute walk from Osaka-jo Koen Station on the JR Osaka Loop Line, which is the entrance to Osaka Castle.

An instructor with 10 years of swordsmanship experience will handle the Japanese sword and provide instruction before the experience.
Please note that if you are more than 30 minutes late for your reservation, regardless of whether you contact us, we may refuse entry.
Please use the restroom before dressing.
Armor Sizes and Types/Depending on your height, weight, etc., you may not be able to wear your preferred armor. Please consult at the front desk on the day and select authentic armor. *Armor sizes are generally suitable for heights up to 185cm and weights up to 100kg.
As you will sweat easily while wearing hakama or armor and practicing swordsmanship, please arrive dressed as follows:
Assistants will help you put on hakama and armor. You cannot put them on yourself.
Smartphone Photography/Personal photography with smartphones is permitted, provided you do not take selfies or photograph other guests.
Please refrain from using fixed tripods or recording videos, as these may disturb other guests.
Drawing swords is dangerous. Do not do so without permission

You, a member of Toyotomi's side, wear armor and go into battle. You will be photographed on the grounds of Osaka Castle, pretending to be the best soldier． （Time Required‐30 min）

5.00An incredible experience I could not recommend more. I chose the full package with the pictures and video and would say it was worth every penny. Each master has perfected their craft to an amazing degree that seeing each of them in action is incredible. For the full 4 hours I got to see the sights of Osaka castle, view the spectacular cherry blossoms and the learn every aspect of samurai culture. The tea ceremony was wonderful as a history lesson and also a tasting session, with the calligraphy being very personal you could feel a sense of awe in every brush stroke. With the Samurai Sword coming last for me I got to feel the weight and purpose with every strike. The staff as a whole are true masters with a real passion for their individual crafts making the entire experience fun and welcoming for me. I would go again on my next trip to Japan.

5.00This was a great experience everyone should do! Our three ladies that hosted us were absolutely the best. We felt right at home with them. They all took the time to explain everything and didn't rush us with anything. Our tea master was the best, she showed us exactly how it is all done and gave us a great history of the tea ceremony. We also tried on the Samurai armor and had a wonderful time learning about the Samurai and the Bushido way. This was the best money we spent with the most welcoming and wonderful Japanese women. Thank you a million times over!

5.00My family loved this. The staff at honor samurai went above and beyond. They took time to show us calligraphy, the tea ceremony, and we learned a lot about samurai in the process. They took so many wonderful pictures and sent them to us. Just a great cultural experience that I would recommend to anyone.

5.00I had an amazing time, everyone was nice, very informative and guided me through the process with great patience. I did the colligraphy, the tea ceremony, cutting the bamboo and made the trip to Osaka castle in samurai armour and i enjoyed every single one!!!
