This experience was extremely disappointing and not worth the price. The food quality was poor and overly salty, and there was very little effort put into the stage setup or overall presentation. The performance itself felt underwhelming, with only about seven performers throughout the entire evening. It reminded me more of a small, low-budget village show I once saw in the Philippines years ago. Considering I paid nearly $1,000 for five people, the value just wasn’t there. In my opinion, this experience wouldn’t even be worth $50 per person.

I was recently in Hawaii to celebrate my grandson’s graduation; at the last minute my family and I were able to get tickets to attend the Island Breeze luau in Kona before my return to Colorado. I am so glad we were able to attend as it was such an enjoyable experience and one of the highlights of my visit. From the very beginning you could tell how organized and professional the staff was. I am not sure how many people were in attendance, but I am guessing around 250 guests although it felt more intimate because of the attention paid to each group by staff. The line into the luau moved quickly and efficiently; pictures were taken as a keepsake of our visit, and we were shown to our table by the friendly staff. The event itself was so much fun, the food was great, the music and singing are excellent, and the journey through the history of Hawaii and its people was so educational and fascinating to learn. If you get the chance, I will highly recommend the Island Breeze luau be added to your list of things to do in Kona, you won’t regret it.

Way overpriced. For the amount we paid for 9 people they could have given us a digital group photo and a lei instead of trying to get more $$$. The performers were great. The food was good and there was plenty of it. Just don’t feel it was worth the price.

The Big Island: Island Breeze Luau is not to be missed. Everyone on staff is super friendly and helpful. The food is a cut above what you’d expect from a tropical buffet. The hostess of the program was a pure joy. The musicians and entertainers are excellent at their craft, and are so wonderful with the luau guests. The venue of the luau is orderly and beautiful. This event is a great value, and extremely enjoyable. I highly recommend this luau!
