After being picked up from your hotel you’ll travel to the adventure capital district of Fiji, Pacific Harbor/Navua to begin a journey to a world away from the cares of modern living. Take a cruise up the Navua river, past villages, farmlands, pristine tropical rainforests, deep gorges/canyons, meandering rapids and numerous cascading waterfalls. Stop for a refreshing swim in Navua Rivers biggest waterfall before leisurely ride on the unsinkable "HMS BILIBILI" (bamboo raft) a reenactment of centuries old only means of transportation down river. A Fijian warrior will escort you to the village meeting house to experience age-old customs and traditions with a customary welcome yaqona (kava) ceremony.. This sacred ceremony is only performed to visiting high chiefs or very important people. Learn the History of the village established by lone Englishman John Humphrey Danford. Cultural dances by the men and women of the village, tuck into your hearty Fiji buffet "Lovo" Lunch.

What To Expect
Duration of travel from your respective hotel approx. 2.5hrs - 3hrs. After being picked up from your hotel, Experience Fiji's Natural Beauty as you travel from the burning west past Sugarcane farms, resorts, villages, farms to the adventure capital district of Fiji, Pacific Harbor/Navua. A 15 mins coffee & restroom stop along the way before continuing your journey here. Below is approx. time spent on tour itinerary. 45 mins long boat up Navua River to the Magic Waterfall 30 minutes Refreshing Waterfall swim 45 minutes bamboo raft for a smooth 30 minute-ride on the method of transport favored by Fiji's native ancestors. Boat ride to the village. 2 hours Enter a traditional village, with a Fijian Warrior escort. welcome yaqona ceremony. Learn our history & Culture Cultural dances by the Village men & women. Tapa painting, mat & basket weaving . Unearth your "lovo" lunch cooked underground Buffet Lunch A village tour / walk Fijian farewell song before departing village.

5.00Super fun! We unfortunately went when it rained but it was still incredibly fun and exciting. There is a place to change before and after swimming which makes it super nice and easy. Everyone was incredibly friendly the whole time and made the experience super special.
10/10 Must Do If Visiting Fiji!

5.00If you’re considering booking with Jewel of Fiji, do it. This was truly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. Our tour guide, Nem, made the entire day unforgettable with his humor, kindness, knowledge, and genuine hospitality. The highlight was when he brought us back to his village to meet his family — something we will never forget. Everyone welcomed us so warmly and made us feel so comfortable. They served us an authentic Fijian lunch, taught us about Fijian history and culture, and included us in a traditional kava ceremony. It felt less like a tour and more like being invited into someone’s home and culture. Such a special, meaningful experience that we’ll be talking about for years. Vinaka, Nem!

5.00The must do experience. Nem led an amazing trip up the Nakavu river with us today. His passion for his culture is inspiring. The long boat, raft ride and waterfall experience were magical. Finished off with being welcomed into their community of familes, and sharing what Fijians do. The swim at the waterfall is a must. Recommend wet shoes, swimmers, etc. Go with a sense of humour and humility. Thank you to Peter, our transfer driver who was great, and Mark, our boat driver who navigated up and down the river expertly. Thank you all. Would love to do it again. Vinaka

5.00Absolutely fantastic tour. Highly recommended. The guide, Nem is multi talented and is hilarious with his banter with everyone. The tribal experience was excellent as well. If you're in Fiji, you MUST do this day tour. An absolute must. Can't recommend highly enough.

5.00A great day delivered by guide, Nem, the boat drivers and the people of the village. There was a real pride in where they live, the environment and giving their guests a good experience. Nem is very knowledgeable, passionate and importantly very funny. The scenery is magical, the waterfall beautiful. The visit to the village is relaxed, friendly and informative. Lunch is plentiful and tasty. Thank you for the care and assistance given to manage mobility issues so the whole experience was doable.

5.00My first time to Fiji and didn't know what to expect however I was most impressed from the moment I stepped out of the taxi , the welcolme was unreal . Check in was easy and welcoming . The room was exceptional and cool . There is an area at this hotel for adults only , not just the pool but the restaurant , so quiet . The most enjoyable week I have had ! All the staff are very friendly and helpfull.

5.00A very chill, fun, and very informative cultural experience from the Navua Village locals. Nem is definitely a hardworker and sarcastically hilarious. He is a true-born leader of this village and definitely loves what he does (while he take his meditative breaths. Lol 🤣) GREAT LOVO LUNCH and cultural performance. Please try the fish, taro and lolo dish! It was my fave! Praneel, our driver, is a great driver, made the drive to and from, which was very long, not much more stressful. Haha Definitely book this 3xperience when you're in Nadi, ypu won't regret. But if you want a more adventure-filled time, check out the River-tubing experience which is from the same Village and just across each other. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! VINAKA VAKALEVU AND MOCE FOR NOW!! 🤍

5.00This tour was one of our favourite days spent in Fiji. The guides are all awesome and make the day very enjoyable. Loved everything about our day and would highly recommend. We went in the wet season (March) so the river looked dirty due to recent rain but we still loved it. We were staying in Port Denarau and even with the longer travel time this tour was one of our favourites! If we return to Fiji we will do this tour again.

5.00This is a must-do excursion in Fiji. We stayed on Denaru Island so the van ride was a bit far, 1.5hours one way but well worth the time. The Fijian village people are so kind, welcoming, and very interesting to learn about their village, customs and culture. The waterfall is beautiful. Mostly retired people in our party and we manged the long boats, short hike to the falls, and swimming. Great lunch cooked Lovo-style and by the villagers.
