What To Expect
Susantha Spice and Herbal Garden
spice gardens are among the best on the island. You will be introduced to different spices and shown how some of these spices are grown and processed. A processing and training unit has been set up in the area and farmers are grouped in a cooperative to ensure fair prices and you will also be able to purchase spices. Gardens are open to visitors, a delightful place to stroll in fragrant greenery and learn about nutmeg, pepper vines, clove trees and curry, cinnamon and the precious cardamom, a relative of ginger. It grows in the shade of high jungle trees and can only be harvested by hand. Visitors may buy spices, traditional remedies and cosmetics, taste a herbal brew and in some venues, enjoy the full flavors of Sri Lankan spices over lunch or an Ayurveda massage based on natural products from the garden.

5.00We decided that we wanted a trip to Sri Lanka and the Maldives, the Maldives was sorted as we were going back to a previously visited Island.\ We researched Sri Lanka and came up with Dimtours, we contacted him and asked if he could put a package together for 6 of us to Get a flavour of Sri Lanka. He sent us a itinerary and prices plus various Hotel options. On arrival at Columbo he met us at the Airport and a week later returned us to the Airport. The whole week was spent with Dim and collectively we had a brilliant time. The transport was clean, air conditioned, comfortable, had free Wi-Fi, plus plenty of water. Our trips were often lengthy drives but packed with stops for photos, food, and interesting facts on local life. Hotels were very good, clean, comfortable with the option of food. If you did not want hotel food the Dim new all the restaurants.. We visited the Elephant Sanctuary, the Lion Rock, Turtle Sanctuary and released turtles. A safari drive, and a visit to the Old Fort in Galle. Tea Factory. Kandy. We felt that the experience we gained gave us a great insight into Sri Lanka, and if we ever visit again would definitely use Dimtours If you want to see Sri Lanka for a day tour or a weeks holiday the this Guys catch phrase is No Problem, and that is what he delivered.
