What To Expect

The tour starts from Stobreč, the oldest suburbian city of Split, on the campsite beach. After the short introduction to Kayaking, you will be on the sea and on your way to the estuary of the beautiful and tranquil Žrnovnica river. Soon you will see the great Mosor mountain ridge and its beautiful green fields towering over the Žrnovnica river. Paddling through the river, the ambiance is perfectly calm. Trees are providing shade and you can take in the crisp air and feel the cool water of Žrnovnica. The river is a perfect oasis that provides refreshment and escape during the hot summer days. After taking a short distance in Žrnovnica river, you will be back on the Adriatic sea. The scenery changes as you glide through the blue sea with islands in the distance. Soon you will spot the white cliffs of Stobreč, where the natives have built their houses. Here you can do an exciting cliff jump and snorkel to explore the Adriatic sea bed.

We had Paola! We could not have asked for a better guide. She was informative, friendly and helpful! She also kept our small group entertained We got loads of information and got to anorkle and cliff jump I passed on cliff jumping and paddle around in the sea. Truley amazing!

Outstanding once in a lifetime experience. Easy booking, reliable and easy pick up. Amazing value with transport to the beach at a central location in Split included. Toma my tour guide was absolutely amazing!!! His energy and attention for the needs of his participants was just super awesome! Fun to talk to, lots of pearls about the local culture. The route itself was amazing with both sea and river - saw flora, fauna and then the rocky shoreline with the Mosor mountain in the background - please do not hesitate and book this trip!!! The whole experience from booking to the actual tour day was first class! Easy to book online, no hidden fees. Clear instructions where to meet and comfortable transportation to the starting Beach. Equipment was great, easy to use. Strobec is beautiful and the combination of the mountains and sea with the river run are just amazing! However - the absolute best part of this trip was the tour guide - Toma is amazing - so friendly and easy to talk to about so many topics - amazing local history pearls and above it all made sure you feel safe, comfortable and having fun along the way. I really can't say enough good things about this tour, the crew and the guides! This is the type of experience that stays with you! Unforgettable. Hvala thank you so much - wish you all the best!!!

So much fun ! My partner and I really enjoyed this and thought it was the perfect way to spend the morning! The workers were lovely, I think they were called Boris and Peter but I’m awful with names. It was a perfect mix of being able to chit chat and ask questions but also having enough personal space to just enjoy the water :)

Well organised, good communication and very friendly instructors. Lovely trip down the river which was so clear and pretty. They took lots of photos, good clean facilities nearby. The weather was against us though so the experience had to be cut for safety, however it was all very well handled.

Had a great half day adventure as a cruise passenger, for which this tour worked quite well. We were picked up promptly from a well-defined spot that was about a 10-15 mintue walk from the cruise terminal. From here, it was maybe a 20 minute drive to a very nice campsite, where we all had a chance to use the restroom, change and grab any snacks or water we wanted from a nearby grocery store, which was pretty helpful. The campsite was beautiful and clean, I'd consider coming back just to stay at a nice place so close to the water! After getting prepped, we were given brief instruction on how to use the SUPs or a kayak (in my group of about 8-10 people, I was the only kayaker and the tour works well for either type of craft). We were on the water quickly and our first point of interest was a river that ended close to the beach from where we launched. We were able to paddle up it quite a ways, enough to see the water get clearer and feel it get cooler. Also a lot of relatively large fish here, which is always fun. The trees along the riverbank also provided some nice shade, which was helpful as it was a warm summer day. After taking a little while to learn about the river as well as snap some photos, we were back out on the saltwater part of our trip. Here, we traveled across the beach area over to an area that was roped off for swimming and small boats, where we landed ours and had the choice of cliff jumping or swimming (I should mention that masks were provided for the tour but not snorkels, you could easily bring your own). I chose the latter and had a very enjoyable 20-30 minutes in the water. The bank dropped off quickly to about 20-30 feet and the water was pretty clear, though I didn't see a lot of fish until I moved closer to areas with rocks closer to the surface. I did see a few dozen animals over 2-3 difference species, which was a treat. The water was cool enough to be refreshing but became comfortable quickly. The rest of the group proceeded to do some cliff jumping or swimming, with the guide doing photos. Our final destination was to a shallow bay near moored boats as it provided a nice backdrop for a few more pictures as well as a neat little area to explore. From there it was back to land for a quick equipment dropoff and participant dryoff, followed by the chance to change/use the restrooms again before driving back into Split. Of note, we got back to the pick-up spot with plenty of time to see most of the major attractions in town. So if you need a little break from the crowds, be they in town or on a cruise ship, this is an excellent option. The guide, Rose, was cheerful, patient and professional and the entire tour was well-organized and thoughful. It was really nice to be able to balance out the major (and crowded) tourist spots with a little time in nautre and on the water, especially with transportation taken care of. Added some very pleasant memories to my time in Split and would certainly recommend.

We did the morning kayak with Luka. It was amazing - well balanced in difficulty and things to see. The cliff jump was the highlight. Luka was a great guide and extremely personable. If you’re not experienced in kayaking, definitely go for a double rather than a single as the waves can be challenging to paddle through!
