What To Expect
Drive from Pokhara to Ghachowk and hike to Hilekharka
Accommodations
Overnight stay at Hilekharka in a teahouse/lodge.
The journey begins from Pokhara, driving through lush farmland and Gurung settlements until you reach Ghachowk, the trek’s starting point (1.5 hours drive). The hiking trail takes a gradual climb through terraced fields and dense forest leads to Hile Kharka, a peaceful overnight spot (5 hours of hike)
Hike from Hilekharka to Khumaidada
Accommodations
Overnight stay at Khumaidada in a teahouse/lodge.
Ascend along forested trails and ridgelines until the landscape opens into expansive alpine meadows with Machhapuchhre dominating the skyline.
Sunrise Viewing at Khumaidada and hike back to Ghachok heading to Pokhara
Enjoy sunrise and sunset over the Annapurna massif. Optional hike to Korchan (3,700 m) for 360° views. After exploring Khumaidada, descend through forest trails and Gurung hamlets before driving back to Pokhara.
