This tour covers every part of the bamboo forest. By rickshaw and on foot!
The first stop after cruising through the bustling main street is the bamboo forest. Enjoy the vivid green bamboo as your guide pulls you along the path reserved for rickshaws only, away from other visitors. Have your camera or mobile phone ready to take pictures. You donāt want to miss this.
After passing by the Nonomiya Shrine you will enter the second part of the bamboo forest, which is designed like a little park. Here we can take great group pictures with the stunning green bamboo in the background. On the way to the third and last section of the bamboo forest, you will pass by a well-kept scene from the Edo period
The third part of the bamboo forest can only be accessed on foot, so our guide will park the rickshaw within walking distance and then guide you to the most famous and impressive part of the bamboo forest. (To avoid the crowds here, we recommend starting the tour before noon)

A wonderful way to experience the Bamboo Forest! Our rickshaw driver Saku was knowledgeable, had a great sense of humor, and an incredible iPhone photographer! Our best family pics of Kyoto!

Great experience and tour with our guides. Took the 70 min tour and it passed way too quickly because we were having a lot of fun. Guides spoke great English and stopped along the way to point out additional sights. Took great pictures. Kept us cool and were very kind. Would definitely recommend!

I took the Kyoto Arashiyama Rickshaw Tour with Ebisuya Rickshaw on May 9, and the experience went above and beyond my expectations! Hugmin pulled the rickshaw for me and my 7-year-old daughter, while Yuya pulled another rickshaw for my husband and my 9-year-old son. Hugmin kept my daughter very engaged and answered all her questions while also telling us about the different bamboo types and various points of interest such as statues that we encountered on our ride. She was very personable, so my daughter talked nonstop to her. Yuya was an excellent photographer. In one of our photos, he angled my phone in such a way that it looked like we were the only people in Arashiyama Bamboo when in reality there was a huge crowd of people behind us. Also, the vertical panoramic shots he took of us with the bamboo were awesome. Because we were on rickshaws, we could go on pathways that strictly only allow rickshaws, hence bypassing most of the crowds. Highly recommend this tour for the best hospitality, knowledge about the area, and an intimate way to explore the forest! Thanks Hugmin and Yuya!

The only female whose name is Ohashi did our pulled rickshaw. Because she was trained as a weightlifter when she was young for Olympic weightlifting, so she is more than capable to do the job so well. She has a such perfect personality and language talent to communicate with clients.( Mandarin, Taiwanese and English). She really gave us a memorable experience!

It seemed wonderful to us!!! The prior attention to ensure everything was clear and perfect was excellent!!! There were 5 carts with 5 operators, all delightful; mine, Shin, was exceptional, they spoke a lot of Spanish and explained everything in a very fun way. A highly recommended experience!!! Thank you!!! And congratulations on your magnificent organization.
