What To Expect
Playa Mismaloya
The tour begins at the small yet vibrant Mismaloya Beach, surrounded by lush green mountains and rocky cliffs. Friendly, bilingual guides and boat captains greet guests at the shore. They offer a safety briefing and an overview of the itinerary, ensuring everyone feels comfortable and excited. Guests step aboard their tour boat equipped with essentials like life jackets, snorkeling gear, and beverages. The tour starts with the guide introduces the fascinating story of The Night of the Iguana (1964), the Tennessee Williams play-turned-Hollywood film, directed by John Huston.
Los Arcos de Mismaloya
As you set off, you'll cruise along the stunning coastline of the Bay of Banderas. Your guide will point out notable landmarks, local wildlife, and share the history of the area, including its fame from movies like Night of the Iguana. A short ride brings you to the Los Arcos Marine Park, a cluster of granite islands rising dramatically from the sea. These arches, caves, and rocky outcroppings are teeming with life, both above and below the water. The unique shapes of the rocks, some with natural archways, make for fantastic photo opportunities. Slip into the warm waters and snorkel in a vibrant underwater world. The marine park is known for its crystal-clear visibility and thriving ecosystem, home to: Tropical fish (angel fish, puffer fish, parrotfish) Rays and eels Coral formations. The islets are also home to various bird species, such as pelicans, blue-footed boobies, and frigatebirds. Their nests on the rocky cliffs make for fantastic photo opportunities.

5.00⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing Snorkeling Experience in Puerto Vallarta! We had an absolutely fantastic day on the water with Captain Santos and our guide Uli. From start to finish, they made the experience fun, safe, and memorable. Captain Santos was professional, knowledgeable, and handled the boat with confidence, making everyone feel comfortable and relaxed throughout the trip. Uli was an outstanding guide—friendly, energetic, and passionate about the marine life and local area. He took the time to answer questions, point out wildlife, and ensure everyone had a great experience in the water. The snorkeling itself was beautiful, with clear water, plenty of fish, and stunning scenery. What really made the trip special, though, was the genuine hospitality and enthusiasm of both Santos and Uli. Their positive energy was contagious and made the entire day feel like an adventure with friends. If you’re looking for a snorkeling tour in Puerto Vallarta, I highly recommend booking with Captain Santos and Uli. They are true professionals who clearly love what they do. Thank you both for an unforgettable day on the water!

5.00Fantastic and cost effective way to see parts of Puerto Vallarta you’d be hard pressed to see on your own. First off, our guide Ivan, was amazing. So energetic, fun and informative. Was great for our entire family (6 of us, kids aged 16-22). We were apprehensive to cliff jump but he encouraged us to do it and helped us climb the rocks. So worth it. Los Arcos was lots of fun. Lots of fish, cool to swim in a cave. Ivan swam with us and guided us the entire way. Then onto Playa Animas beach where we had front row chairs waiting for us at the beach club. Amazing beach, sand and water only accessible via boat or hike. The restaurant served amazing drinks and food. The seafood tower was incredible. Felt like paradise island. On the way back he stopped again at Madagascar beach which has one Airbnb house on it. We had the beach to ourselves for about 30 minutes. Then back to Mismaloya where the 5 hour tour ended. We were not ready to leave so Ivan got us more chairs on that beach where we stayed another hour. All in all this was a fantastic adventure for our family. Did I mention we had no one else with us. Sure it’s not cheap but given the duration, the sights and the experiences and the fantastic guide as well as drinks (including beer) and snacks on the boat I’d say it was money well spent. Highly recommend! We want to do it again next year.

5.00This was a great trip. The water was a little murky but Brayan and Arnold showed us how to see the fish! After we snorkeled as much as we wanted, they took us to a gorgeous beach club where we ate and swam. Great food and drinks. Just a top shelf experience all the way around.

5.00The attention of these boys was incredible, they take you through the best corners of Puerto Vallarta, the activities are very safe and especially very beautiful, Captain Sebastian always handled the boat very well and our guide Efraín nourished us with enough information throughout the activity.
