Take a Vintage Land Rover tour with us from Lyon to Burgundy. The south of Bourgogne/Burgundy produces white wine, it's a region known as Mâconnais which is the border with beaujolais region.
The area's first source of income is wine, it's not an industry, it's a lifestyle as there are mainly small producers who are free to create in their own style as long as they stay within limits defined by the industry.
We've been coming here forever, we know the ins and outs of the area and we take pride in being the friend of a friend you'd like to have in a place you didn't know.
We travel too and we hate being treated as tourists but we love being travelers. That's what we hope to do for you!
The tour description above is an outline of what we can do, we usually end up adapting the content of the half day to maximize the value for money and time you put in us.

This was one of the highlights of our time in France! Exploring the beautiful Burgundy countryside in a vintage Land Rover made the experience feel truly unique from the very beginning. Our guide Elodie was warm, knowledgeable, and passionate about the region, sharing interesting history about the villages, vineyards, and winemaking traditions along the way. We loved visiting the two small family-owned wineries, where we enjoyed excellent tastings in a relaxed, authentic setting. It felt personal rather than commercial, which made it even more memorable. Another great feature of using this company is that they will organize any wine purchases you would like to make, including shipping back to the US. So you can buy what you like, and not have to worry about packing and shipping, or checking in your luggage! The half-day tour was the perfect length and offered a wonderful mix of scenic views, local history, and fantastic wines. If you're looking for a more intimate Burgundy wine experience with a little adventure mixed in, don't hesitate to book this tour. We would absolutely do it again!

We had an amazing experience on our half day wine tour in the Beaujolais region of France. Our driver picked us up from our hotel and provided a smooth ride to and from the experience. Our tour guide, Amélie, was very knowledgeable and fun to be around. She brought us to two different wineries for tastings, as well as a butcher shop to taste traditional French foods. We loved our experience and highly recommend!

Our morning with Clemence was very fun. She picked us up at our hotel right on time so we started off on a good note right away. We visited two very different wineries. And Clemence even took the time to find a chateau to visit for some history. We enjoyed practicing French with Clemence so, so much as well. Sophie Cinier was one of the most intelligent, wonderful women I have ever met. We particularly enjoyed our wine tasting with her. I believe we tasted eight different wines and had some charcuterie as well. It was obvious that she and her husband took a lot of pride in their family venture. It really was lovely. Merci pour tous Clemence!

This was a great experience, and we would highly recommend it to anyone who was looking for something unusual to do in the Macon area. We booked via Expedia, and arrangements were slick and efficient. Our 'Insider' guide Benoit (Ben) contacted us 72 hours before the trip via WhatsApp to make arrangements. He took our details and then booked the train tickets from/to Lyon - all included in the price. Ben met us at Macon rail station in the vintage Land rover, and first drove us to a boulangerie where we were treated to coffee and pastries. After that, we visited three wine producers for tastings. In total we tasted 12 wines, and we stopped at the second one for a lunch of bread, cheese and charcuterie (also included in the price). We were really lucky with the weather, and it was a real pleasure to be sitting in the garden tasting wine and eating. After our third stop we returned to Macon and spent a few hours wandering around the city before returning to Lyon. Our guide, Ben, was really excellent company - such a nice guy. He had great knowledge, and his company was brilliant. It is a private tour, but it was like being taken around by an old friend. It was my birthday, and after lunch Ben produced a lovely cream-stuffed choux bun, sporting a lit candle. Really thoughtful and hugely appreciated. The people we met along the way were equally charming. Ben also took photos throughout our tour and sent us the link when we returned. The area is stunningly beautiful. The Land Rover was certainly 'vintage'. It was clearly a challenge to drive, but that added to the charm. Once again, this was an excellent tour, and importantly money well spent. We were genuinely sad to say goodbye after just a few hours with Ben. We would do it again without hesitation

Amélie gave us a fantastic tour where we got to meet real wine makers in the region of Beaujoleis and southern Burgandy. With incredible views of the French countryside, it was a good look into the wine making process and life of a winemaker.

We had such a lovely morning! Melanie was super friendly and all three stops on the tour were fun and informative. Despite the rain the wineries were beautiful and all the wine we taste was delicious.

We loved our guide. Knowledgeable. Humorous. Completely immersed in the culture of wine making in Le Maconnais. We loved meeting wine makers in their wineries. We loved driving through the countryside on a gorgeous fall afternoon. A perfect experience.
