The town of Rameshwaram stands as a testimony of his faith. One of the four pilgrimage places, Char Dham of India, it modestly invites followers of Lord Shiva from everywhere to pay a visit at least once in their lifetime to the Jyotirlinga installed in the Ramanathaswamy Temple. Located in Ramanathapuram district, the town is a part of Pamban Island also known as Rameshwaram Island being associated with the legendry temple built in the marvelous Dravidian style of architecture. What To Expect
Pamban Bridge
You will meet your guide at 7 am and the lobby of your hotel in Madurai and leave for 3.5-hour approx drive to Rameshwaram. On your way, you will make a stop at Pamban Bridge for a taking photographs with your family.

5.00Meenakshi Amma darsan... we have had blessed darsan of Amma twice in one day. Next day morning we left for Rameswaram. Halted on the Pamban bridge for a few minutes and reached Rameswaram. Had blessed darsan of Ramanathan Swamy four times in two days of our stay there. Had sphatika linga darsan at 5 am.

5.00Madurai is a famous historic place. The market area reflects its old identity. A 1 hour walk through this town can bring back the memories of the Pandya rulers.

5.00Must plan for this trip - so many places to cover in a day makes it very exiting . Apart from the main temple at Rameswaram there are many smaller temples that one must visit and some of them are at a very scenic places. Must visit is the Abdul Kalam memorial , Pamban Bridge , Dhanush Kodi .
