Eel and seaweed and salmon, oh my! Take your tastebuds on a trip down Maine's coast and explore the aquatic ingredients and flavors that make Maine so special. Participants will be introduced to Maine's wild and farmed seafood industries and hear the stories of local farmers, fishermen and other producers - while sampling delicious products that represent them!
This guided, 30-60 minute experience is a fantastic introduction to Maine's seafood landscape, history and culture. We recommend scheduling this class at the beginning of your time in Maine so you can take advantage of all you've learned during the rest of your trip. Stick around afterwards for personalized recommendations from your MTC host about wineries, breweries, markets, farms and other agritourism experiences to seek out while in Maine - customized to your interests and the regions you plan to visit while in Maine.

What To Expect
Your guide will walk you through a snack-sized tasting menu of local products that represent Maine fisheries and aquaculture industries - seaweed, fish, shellfish and even sea salt are all on the menu. Feeling thirsty? A curated local beverage flight (mead, craft beer, wine) designed to pair with the tasting menu is available for purchase on-site for guests ages 21+. **Note: This activity typically takes place at a high-top table in our Tasting Room. If you require access to a standard dining-height table for this activity, please text or call us at the number listed in advance of your activity time to let us know. If we don't pick up, please leave a voicemail with your request! Additionally, this tasting may contain gluten, soy, milk, wheat, eggs, sesame and any other major allergens. If you have dietary restrictions, please call or text us at least 2 hours in advance of your visit - we will do our best to accommodate.**

4.00Caroline was really good and so informative! Her passion for what she does was evident. Highly recommend! The must tries are the crab salad and white fish salad.
