After convenient hotel or vacation rental pickup, you’ll gear up with a quality mountain bike, helmet, safety vest, and bottled water. Your certified local guide, fluent in English and deeply familiar with the area, leads you on an easy-to-moderate trail through towering trees and wild jungle sounds. Keep your eyes open: sloths, toucans, and even elusive big cats like ocelots may cross your path. The ride ends at a hidden waterfall, where you’ll enjoy 40 minutes to swim, relax, and savor fresh tropical fruit. Return to the trailhead for a hearty, authentic Costa Rican lunch featuring casado, chifrijo, and local flavors. Limited to just 8 guests for an intimate, personalized experience. 5.00We had a wonderful time at Manuel Antonio. We were given clear instructions on where to meet. Our guide was very knowledgeable about all the insects, animals, birds, flora and fauna. We would have missed 90% of what we saw if not for the guide. The guide made the experience much more memorable!

5.00Awesome experience! We biked to the secluded Matapolo beach and then to the waterfall in Portolon, which was an awesome cool dip. We had fresh fruit, popsicles, and a delicious traditional lunch! Javier was our guide and his son and brother in law assisted. All were kind, funny, knowledgeable, and super helpful when I needed help with my bike. Javier was super easy to communicate with, too, by Viator and by WhatsApp, and he took lots of pics for us. For our future trips to Manuel Antonio, if there is a trip we want to do and Javier doesn’t lead it, we’re going to ask him how to learn how, LOL! The bike ride is not strenuous per se, but there are some hills, and the weather can be quite hot. They were all super understanding when I needed to take breaks!

5.00This is a bike ride through the countryside of rainforest territory with few hills so easy to manage with a beautiful waterfall swim stop. They make sure of your safety on the roads and provide an excellent lunch at the end!
