We had a fantastic family day in Xi’an with Rita as our guide. She was punctual, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. The city tour included a great walk on the Ancient City Wall and a vibrant visit to the Muslim Quarter with excellent local food tips. The highlight was the Terracotta Warriors — absolutely breathtaking in scale. Rita explained everything clearly, from the 38-40 year construction to the unique details of the soldiers. Well-organized, comfortable, and highly educational. Highly recommended

Rita: Guide. Mr. Lee: Driver. The pickup at the 3 hotels with the city wall was prompt, thanks to all 12 participants for being diligent. On the ride over to the Terracotta site, Rita provided an in-depth history and background about Xian as well as a prelude to the visit to the Terracotta site. On this day, according to Rita, the crowds were manageable, which made the experience much better. For example, there were some moments where you were facing the Terracotta models with little or no obstructions for good photo ops. Prior to visiting each of the Terracotta sites, P1, P2, and P3, Rita provided a brief explanation of the displays prior to letting us proceed at our own pace. In contrast, some other tour guides kept their group together and provided explanations through the exhibit, which may hinder any desired photo ops. The lunch buffet was decent. Typical Chinese dishes with various proteins, beef, chicken, duck. The stimulating convo amongst our tour group from Southeast Asia, Down Under and the States, which included a mother & son, couple of engineers, teacher, and 7 resident physicians added flavor to the meal. The second half of the tour started to get tiring due to the intense June heat. Luckily, minimal time was spent at the Wild Goose Pagoda and ample time at the City Wall southwest gate. Rita provided an explanation of both attractions and gave us time to roam around. Some of the group was planning on revisiting the City Wall during the evening when the lanterns lining the pathway located on the top of the wall are lit, renting bikes and riding them along the 15km perimeter. Thanks to Rita for providing exceptional customer service in directing me to the local bank for money exchange since I was cash strapped. Note that in Xian, most businesses do not accept credit cards, only wechat or cash is accepted.

The whole half-day tour experience was excellent. We got well informed before the tour about any relevant details and the tourbus picked us up right on time. The tour guide, Tracy, spoke great English and had a deep expertise about China, Xian and the Terracota Warriors. She also was very engaging asking us questions and making us excited about the things we're about to see. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants a deepdive into Xian, while enjoying the convience of a structured tour.

Carol made this trip fantastic. She needs a pay raise! Really she made the trip special as it was full of information and she told the history like a story. Made it easy to understand and remember. If I had a tour business I would hire her as it would mean that I have a professional and happy person to look after clients.
