Best Guides for hiking up the Mount Agung! Very friendly, helpful & patient. I made the hike from Pasar Agung Temple with my guide Komang. Would totally recommend him! He took care of me, we had some fun and interesting conversations and made me very good breakfast with coffee. I booked it together with a pick up in my hotel so I could enjoy it totally stressfree! Please don't underestimate the Pasar Agung hike - it's pretty difficult with scrambling over rocks and also exposed!

One of the best hikes I've ever been on. Hike was extremely hard but my guide was great. He talked, moved at a good pace, and provided snacks!

Their response and arrangements all are well received. Views on the summit are stunning too, the guide arrange for us are good too, this trek difficulty is not easy, if not well trained better to start early if you want to catch the sunrise

We contacted Dekwah to climb the peak of mount Agung. He arranged Pick up in Ubud early on the morning and we went up till noone with one of his guides. Everyone was very nice and we felt safe climbing the mountain. The hike is quite though. You need serious stamina and I would only recommend for experienced hikers. You have to walk in alpine area on loos gravel for several hours.

Krisna was an exceptional, knowledgeable and hilarious guide. He brought consistent motivation, and boiled eggs when needed. Brilliant photographer too! I highly recommend taking this tour! Also if he says ‘faster’ this means you are going too fast and should slow down (we only discovered this mid cardiac arrest) 😂

Mount Agung was one of the most challenging yet rewarding hikes I’ve ever done. Every step tested my strength and endurance, especially with the sleepless night climb, but reaching the summit was absolutely unforgettable. The sunrise above the clouds made every struggle worth it. I’m also incredibly grateful to have had the best guide throughout this journey — Iwas was very supportive, patient, encouraging, and always making sure I stayed safe and motivated. The experience would not have been the same without such an amazing guide. Highly recommended for anyone planning to hike Mount Agung!

We reached the summit safely. The service was professional and thoughtful, we felt very secure the whole time. Great experience overall. I had lots of questions before the trip, about routes, hiking gear and weather. They replied patiently to everything. Our guide was patient and experienced. He knew the trails very well, warned us about rough roads and encouraged us a lot during the difficult midnight climb when we wanted to give up. We could choose our breakfast time freely. He always walked at the front. As soon as he noticed someone slipping or struggling behind, he turned around quickly to help. Very attentive and responsible. I highly recommend their transfer service. The meeting point is halfway up the mountain at midnight, and taxis are hard to get. With their pick-up service, the driver waits for you at the starting point, and you can leave easily right after descending.

I had an excellent experience with Dekwar Agung Sunrise Trekking for my daytime speed ascent of Mt Agung via the Edelweiss route. They responded quickly on WhatsApp and paired me with local trail runner Krissna, who was outstanding. The route is steep and technical (1,893 m elevation gain, ~26% average grade), with varied terrain including gravel, mud, wet wood, and loose scree. The descent is particularly challenging and slippery — I slipped several times despite careful pacing — but Krissna’s expert guidance kept everything safe and efficient. This is a demanding trail best suited for experienced hikers. The company made the whole process smooth, professional, and enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a reliable and knowledgeable guide on Mt Agung. Full stats: 14.34 km round-trip, 5:00:55 moving time, ascent in 2:34:14.
