5.00Richard is SUCH a great resource! We had to keep our class short but in that time we saw improvement of our skill and learned a lot about Chinese Calligraphy culture/philosophy. It was a peaceful environment and there were only a couple of us so we got a lot of hands on assistance and help. He’s a true master that has been doing this for 38 years. Definitely give it a try if you’re in Beijing. We had such a good time!

5.00You need this class and you don’t even know it. It felt like an authentic experience which is what I was looking for. Richard was so calm and patient with me and by the end of the session, I felt so calm. Do it for the fun. Do it for the tranquility.

5.00This was my first time doing calligraphy and it was a great experience! The teacher Richard was really informed and really helpful. I learned a lot in just a 45 minute session. I would definitely book another session with him the next time I am in Beijing. 10/10 class. I even got to leave with my own canvas and my own brush as a gift!

5.00The passion for calligraphy of the teacher shines through. The mood of the class was light hearted. As the group settles down from the excitement, we switched to a calming mood. The simplicity of learning to write again and feeling our brushes move on the surface of paper. Definitely recommend.
