In this tour we are going to visit some of the most beautiful castles in Croatia: Trakoscan, Vinica and Erdody. All of them hold a special significance and have lots of stories and legends. All of them are within a comfortable daytour from Zagreb. It is said that the Zagorje region has the largest concentration of castles in Europe when considering the size of the region (over 50 castles). The region is a beautiful lush green area, relaxing, with lots of trees and hills, with intense green color in spring and summer.

What To Expect
Old Castle - Stari Grad
Stari Grad is one of the most significant castles in Croatia when it comes to original furniture and the structure.
We will visit Arboretum Opeka and the ruin of the Bombelles castle. Even though today only a ruin, the property itself is beautiful as it is an important Arboretum with some wonderful things to see. You will certainly get a glimpse into how the noble Bombelles family used to live here.

5.00We arrived late in Zagreb due to flight delay and our first day tour had to be cancelled for this reason. Not know if we could reschedule our tour activities in Zagreb at this short notice, we contacted “Tours by Locals.” And they provided us a link to contact Mr. Dario. His response was immediate and prompt and he agreed to go on the same the canceled tours locations with us. He speaks fluent English and is very knowledgeable about Croatia and its history. The tours were an amazing experience seamlessly orchestrated under his guidance.
