This trip was a truly amazing experience of the Northern Lights. Our guide was friendly, enthusiastic, very well informed and a great communicator. He created the Emeraldskies.ie aurora activity tracking site (embarrassingly his name has escaped me - so sorry!) and his expertise combined with favourable weather conditions resulted in us seeing the most incredible aurora display with our bare eyes. With his in-depth knowledge, our guide was able to keep the group informed about what stage the aurora build-up was at and what the progressive indicators to look out for were. He kept people engaged and interested despite the very cold conditions. The hot chocolate and blankets were a lifesaver. You definitely need to dress warm for this trip but my goodness, the wait was worth it. The David the Guide team really know their stuff. I totally recommend this trip. Very efficient, well organised and fun. This was our first visit to Iceland and we hope to be back for more exploring with this local tourguide company. Thanks a million guys.

It was a really exciting experience! The weather conditions were very favorable and allowed us to enjoy a simply unforgettable Northern Lights. Great credit goes also to the guide Annamaria, who took us to an isolated fjord not far from Reykjavik from which to observe, in total darkness, the aurora. She was very good at illustrating the phenomenon; moreover she took wonderful photos with the aurora in the background, an incredible memory! Much appreciated the fact of being in a small group, which allowed everyone to have their own time and space to take a few more photos with their own equipment. Tasty hot chocolate offered by Annamaria. Highly recommended!

We had an absolutely amazing experience on our tour! We lucked out with perfect conditions and saw some amazing lights. Our tour guide Anna-Maria was so amazing and made the trip even better! She was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable, and she took amazing pictures of us with the aurora. If you're looking for a way to see the northern lights during your trip to Iceland, this tour is a great choice!

Excursion booked by Guide to Iceland. Pick up in front of the hotel is pretty cool. But 40 minutes late, it would've been nice to let us know the minibus was coming, by text, rather than waiting for you in the blizzard. Two-hour drive, where the driver ate the side of the roads, while talking... sorry, sorry... Well, no, you've got 18 people in charge. In short, we have seen aurora, splendid, connect to the aurora.is site that will give better information. Well, that's it, but it's not organized in the timing.

We had the most extraordinary experience with David the Guide, and especially with our guide Christian. Seeing the Northern Lights was already a dream for us, but Christian made the entire evening something truly unforgettable. His knowledge about the science behind the aurora, why it happens, how solar activity affects it, and what conditions allow it to appear, was fascinating. It wasn’t just a tour where you drive somewhere and wait. He helped us really understand what we were witnessing, which made it all the more magical and meaningful. Christian is also a professional photographer, and that added such a special dimension to the experience. He took beautiful photos of us with the Northern Lights dancing behind us, images we will treasure forever. Being able to simply enjoy the moment while knowing it was being captured so expertly made all the difference. On top of that, we were treated to delicious hot chocolate and cookies under the Arctic sky. Standing there together, warm drinks in hand, watching the lights move above us, felt incredibly intimate and special. We left not only amazed by the beauty of the Northern Lights, but genuinely touched by the care, knowledge, and warmth Christian brought to the evening. It was more than a tour. It was a memory we will carry with us for a very long time.

Our tour guide was amazing! She was so friendly and knowledgeable. We were so lucky to see the lights on our first day in Iceland. And boy did the lights put on a show! They were dancing that night. Our guide was sure we didn’t miss anything. Amazing night! Our tour guide was so excited for us. My husband is disabled and she ensured we got a photo of us with the lights which is more important than anyone realizes. This is his bucket list item. So thank you for making a dream come true.

We had such a good experience and lovely memory. We were in a small group and while driving, Christian, our guide, explained us different facts about auroras and how to hunt them; what we learnt allowed us on other days to find our way to get great pictures of the auroras. We were very lucky on our first aurora and the location was beautiful, we got some personal pics taken and offered hot chocolate with cookies to enjoy the few hours we were hunting them. I would repeat again with David the guide and specially with Christian.

It was a very cool tour, the Christian guide told us a lot of things about the formation of auroras and how to hunt them on the way. You can tell he loves it and transmits it. We made a stop where he considered it most appropriate to see them and effectively just getting off the bus we saw them. We waited a while to see more and while, we had hot chocolate and cookies. He also took pictures of us all with his camera.

The company sent an email a couple of hours before the tour was to start and cancelled it. Not a call or text. They sent an email. We rescheduled and they didn't show up the following day. No email or notification. Very unreliable. They do not answer calls. Terrible communication. Be sure to have an alternative option if you book anything with this shady organization. Attached is a photo of where we waited for the ride that never showed up.

The tour was incredible! Christian was very knowledgeable and talked us through the whole process of how auroras form. It was incredible to see everything from start to finish!
