Old Dubai is one of the most authentic and charming parts of the city. Walking through the narrow lanes of Al Fahidi, crossing Dubai Creek on a traditional abra, and exploring the Gold and Spice Souks gives you a glimpse into Dubai’s rich heritage and trading history. The atmosphere is vibrant, the people are welcoming, and the mix of cultures makes the experience unforgettable.

We had the absolute pleasure of experiencing the Dubai Old Town Walking Tour, and I can confidently say it exceeded every expectation. Exploring the historic heart of Dubai — from the charming lanes of Al Fahidi Historical Neighborhood to the vibrant atmosphere along Dubai Creek was not just a tour; it was a journey through time. The architecture, the wind towers, the hidden courtyards, the aromas of the spice markets, and the energy of the souks created an immersive cultural experience that felt authentic and deeply enriching. What truly made the day exceptional, however, was our guide, Seef. Brilliant is not strong enough a word. His knowledge of Emirati history, culture, religion, trade, and urban evolution was extraordinary. He didn’t just share facts — he told stories. strongly recommended for couple.

Our experience exploring Old Dubai was fantastic, and a big part of it was our guide, Ameer. From the start, Ameer created a warm, relaxed atmosphere and made everyone feel welcome. He is knowledgeable, funny, attentive, and clearly passionate about sharing local culture. Throughout the tour, Ameer shared many interesting stories and insights that helped us truly understand traditions, customs, and everyday life in Dubai — not just see the sights. He was always helpful, flexible, and made sure everyone felt comfortable and engaged. The street food stops were a highlight, and thanks to Ameer we tried flavors we wouldn’t have chosen ourselves. His energy, humor, and care for the group made him the heart of the experience.

The tour was starts about a 10 minute walk from the sharaf dg Metro stop. We were sprinting, and were still late. They were very nice and waited for us, communicating thru WhatsApp. Our Guide ameer was knowledgeable, gracious, and extremely down to earth. We learned a ton about the history of Dubai, the UAE, and Islam. Saw traditional Dubai homes, and walked thru Spice and Gold markets. We also got a snack. Really great experience. About 3 hours, although the tour ends at the markets, you can stay as long as they are open.Read less Read more about - Old Dubai tour: Local Market, Tasting, Dubai creek with Abra ride

Shahzad gave us a fantastic tour of old Dubai, from historic Al Seef area to the spice and gold souks, bringing great knowledge, both historic and personal from his 25 years living in Dubai. The tour was exactly as described, if not better! Shahzad even walked us back to a metro station to help with our onward travel. Can 100% recommend!

We were very happy with our tour. Our guide, Ameer, was extremely pleasant, professional, and highly knowledgeable. He provided all the information required for the tour and explained the history of the UAE in great detail, from before its inception to the present day. He also shared valuable and insightful information about the religion of Islam, which made the experience even more meaningful. Ameer was very patient, always waiting for everyone to catch up and ensuring that all guests were comfortable throughout the tour. At the end, he went out of his way to make sure everyone reached the correct pickup point. He even coordinated with our driver and clearly guided us on where to sit and wait for our pickup. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would rate this tour with Ameer 5 stars without hesitation.

This was my first time visiting Dubai, and I experienced a completely different side of the city. I had never seen these narrow streets of Dubai before. The atmosphere in Old Dubai is very pleasant, and the people are extremely friendly. I have visited modern Dubai as well, but Old Dubai has a charm of its own. Walking through the local markets and traditional souks was a great experience, and the highlight for me was riding the abra, which was really enjoyable.
