We were so lucky to have Akira as our guide. He obviously loves Kyoto and that certainly came across in the information he imparted to us. We visited three places during our time together, visiting the Nijo Castle, and both the Kinkakuji and Ginkakuji Temples too. The little tit-bits of information which you don’t get from guide books were very interesting. He made the history of these places come alive for us. He is a very easy person to communicate with and very happy to be around. We highly recommend him to any potential traveller to Kyoto.
