Thoroughly enjoyed our overnight tour to Khao Sok Lake. This was defintely one of the prettiest places we have ever visited and we made many magazine-worthy pictures. It’s worthwhile coming here only for one boat tour on the lake but we were glad that our overnight stay enabled us to enjoy the scenery for two days. Our tour included an easy hike through the wild life reserve followed by a short trip on a bamboo raft to a beautiful cave; an evening boat safari where we were extremely lucky to see not only many monkeys but also wild elephants and an early morning boat safari. At the cabins you can take a swim and rent kayaks. Our private guide Ot was very knowledgable and did everything to ensure we enjoyed our stay – including card tricks at dinner and having an iced tea ready when we came back from kayaking. The cabins themselves are basic but perfectly comfortable for one night (we booked a Modern Comforts cabin: ours was very new and had a private bathroom). The food on the lake was also fine but not as great as the lunch on the second day, where Ot also bought some really nice Thai herb appetizers for us.

This was something different, great not to spend time rushing through a city. Three of us had an excellent guide - Ot - he gave us much attention, was caring and friendly. The time spent in the National park was great. We had two nights, one was in a resort in a beautiful setting on a hill. Restaurant meals here were good. Staff friendly. We took a canoe ride from this area to view wildlife .Next day we met up with our guide at the Office of Khao Sok Lake Tours. We had a rental car, so Ot came with us directing us to the pier to be transported by Longboat on the Lake to our next accommodation , bungalows set in water. You could Kayak or swim from your patio. The food here was great, as was the staff. We had two adventures while here, a hike up to the waterfall, then a boat ride to view the wildlife again. Different here.

Hi, Overall the trip was great but the really fantastic part was our guide Kim. He had great knowledge of the outdoors and was extremely entertaining and instructive of our 6 year old daughter. He was endlessly working to show her things, make things out of nature and challenge her to learn along with him. He was fantastic. He also showed a lot of patience with grandparents who moved at a slightly slower pace. Great guy.
