After welcoming you into my kitchen in Sciacca with a glass of my wine, you will embark on a journey of discovery of the history of Saccense gastronomy through my dishes, which we will prepare during a lesson . There I will tell you about and teach you how to prepare one of my specialities: Fresh Pasta. I will show you how to prepare the perfect dough and the tools we will use most will be just your hands, with the freshest ingredients and lots of love. The fresh pasta you prepare will be cooked by me for you to taste. Companions of guests with disabilities allowed, but NOT allowed to use the benefits of the experience participants. Air-conditioned space It is not essential that you know Italian well, as no great language skills are required, as long as you are willing to do :) Remember to always report any food allergies or intolerances in advance. And also at the end you can take away what you have created during the lesson.

5.00The four of us were there this afternoon for the pasta making class with Accursia and her son Vincenzo. It was an excellent, fun experience. Their facility is beautiful. We mixed the dough, let it age a bit while we enjoyed some local wine, olives, caponata and fruit. We then came back and made four kinds of pasta and best of all got to eat it with their homemade pasta ala Norman sauce. Highly recommended!

5.0010/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND We stayed in the Sciacca area for a week and only booked a few excursions for our honeymoon trip, but I cannot express how amazing this experience was! I have much gratitude for anyone that opens their home for guest from all over the world! It was a small group which made it feel even more special. A few hours of incredible hospitality, and learning how to make six different forms of pasta was truly a fun experience. I very excited to take these new skills back home and apply them to my regular schedule.

Accursia and her son were so friendly and welcoming into their home, was such a knowledgeable experience learning about different types of pasta and even got to taste it at the end with some beautiful sauce made by accursia, let’s not forgetting the home made wine too which was delicious, even got a tour of the beautiful Sicilian garden and saw all the home grown produce, an amazing experience, would fully recommend to anyone visiting the area for an authentic experience!

When “pasta cooking class” comes to mind, like me, you probably imagine a classroom with pretty decoration and rows of pasta machines on wooden desks — almost institutional. But not at Accursia’s. Accursia welcomes you into her home and her most stunning fruit, vegetable, herb and floral garden! There are chickens too… why travel to the market for eggs when you can get them from your backyard, right?! The setting is intimate, they won’t let you leave without perfecting rolling our pastas that seem impossible, and they’ll even tease your countryside living fantasies with family grown natural wines, fresh fruit from the garden, and the kind of hospitality one can only find in Sicily. This is an absolute must do!
