Escape Boston for a full day along the southern Maine coast, blending scenic seaside walks, historic harbor towns, and iconic lighthouse views. Begin at Marginal Way in Ogunquit, a cliffside coastal path that winds along the Atlantic with uninterrupted ocean views and classic New England scenery. Continue to Kennebunkport, a postcard-perfect harbor town known for its historic homes, local boutiques, and working waterfront. Arrive in Portland in time for lunch in the Old Port district, where cobblestone streets, 19th-century brick buildings, and fishing piers set the scene for some of Maine's best seafood — this is the spot to try fresh, locally caught lobster on your own. Finish at Portland Head Light, Maine's oldest and most iconic lighthouse, perched dramatically above the rocky shoreline within Fort Williams Park, with sweeping Atlantic views to close out the day.

Tour and guide: 5 stars ... Communication: 3 stars --- Very good way to get out of the city and see some of the coast! --- Sam, our guide and driver was personable, knowledgeable, and a very good driver. Nice guy! And the small tour of 8 was great. --- Please correct your published information to indicate *7:30 AM* start. Every official communication advertises a 8:00 start, while the tour actually left around 7:30 AM. One couple was picked up first at the Omni Hotel, the rest of us received instructions to meet at Chinatown at 7:20 AM. --- Official info is confusing: "Pickup time may differ from voucher start time. Confirm with operator afterbooking. Check “Meeting & Pick-up” for details. Arrive 5–10 mins early. Departure from the hotel between 7:45am where can pick you up. Please contact tour operator to confirm the specific departure time." --- A text message the day before instructed us to meet at 7:20. I strongly recommend a change to the tour listing so people can plan.

Only had a day to get out of Boston and wanted some Maine coastline, this hit the spot. Marginal Way was gorgeous, that cliff walk has views the whole time. Kennebunkport's just a cute little harbor town, perfect for a stroll. The Old Port stop was actually the highlight for me, got fresh lobster right at the docks. Portland Head Light at the end was a great way to close out the day. Long drive each way but the stops made it worth it.

Solid day trip out of Boston. Marginal Way was way prettier than I expected, didn't think a coastal walk could be that scenic. Kennebunkport's that quaint Maine town you picture when someone says Maine. Old Port at lunch was the move, got a lobster roll right by the boats and it was easily the best thing I ate all trip. Portland Head Light at the end was gorgeous. Drive's a bit long but you're just sitting there taking in the scenery anyway.
