Ujjain is a great place to visit Mahakaleshwar temple of ancient Indian architecture. A marvel with carvings on sandstone and etchings of the deities on the ceilings like you would see in Rome’s cathedrals. This temple’s spire is also aligned with the Tropic of Cancer and the longitude of the planet earth intersects at this spot, hence the name Kalam(GMTtime) has been established for the world. At Om Kareshwar, Lord Kareshwar’s temple stands majestically above the hills of the River Narmada. Yet another beautiful sandstone carving.
