We invite you to join us on a special cultural tour. It includes a visit to the most appreciated and famous castles in Romania, Peles Castle and Bran Castle (Dracula’s Castle). Last part of the day will take us to Rasnov Fortress or to Poiana Brasov.
And, because we like to be flexible, we suggest that you choose the last stop yourself. So, if you are passionate about history and don’t want to miss the Rasnov Fortress, you can choose to visit it. Alternatively, we can go to Poiana Brasov, for a pleasant walk in the most famous mountain resort in Romania.
So, if you have decided to visit Transylvania and discover its history, you are in the right place.
This trip is suitable for both, private groups and independent travelers. So you can come with your friends and family. Children will surely enjoy visiting these places too.

What To Expect
Peles Castle
The first stop we make is at Peles Castle. It is considered the most important historical (German-influenced) architectural ensemble in Romania. Due to its historical and artistic value, it remains one of the most important and beautiful monuments in Europe and one of the most visited tourist attractions in Romania (2nd place after Bran Castle). The castle will surely impress you by its opulence, by the fact that it has 160 rooms, and that at its time it was fully electrified. It also had an elevator and a movable glass ceiling which opened on demand. The king used to impress his guests by showing them the starry summer night sky.
Bran Castle
Next Stop: Dracula's Castle, supposedly to be the residence of Count Dracula You won’t regret a moment if you choose to visit this castle, especially since it is located quite close to Brasov. You will be simply enchanted by the beauty of the castle and especially by the location and surroundings. So I invite you to let yourself be carried away by history and culture and you will leave home with an extraordinary positive charge of your soul. Bran Castle is steeped in history. The character of Count Dracula first appears in the novel “Dracula”, written by the Irish writer Bram Stoker and published in 1897 in England. Originally the name Dracula is not at all frightening. It derives from the name given to an order of crusaders, the Order of the Dragon, with which both Vlad the Impaler and his father Vlad Dracul (a member of this order) were associated.

5.00To anyone not sure whether they should spend the extra money on a private tour, I would say absolutely yes! Dinu, our guide was absolutely fantastic. We arrived to Brasov by train from Budapest and had to leave again for a very specific train to continue to Bucharest that night. He monitored our train's progress and was there to greet us at the station as we arrived and he made sure that we were back in time for our evening train too. At every step, he was happy to customise our tour to our liking including taking us to a couple of food spots to try out some traditional dishes. The tour has quite a bit of driving, but there was never an awkward moment between him telling us about the history of Romania and the castles, answering our questions and just sharing stories from our lives. He offered to take lots of pictures of us and patiently waited (and joined!) when we wanted to say hi to the local cats 😅 Dinu made sure that our tour was a memory that will last forever and we wish him all the best.

5.00I spent three wonderful days traveling with Ramona and Radu, and the experience exceeded my expectations. Each day was thoughtfully planned and completely different, showcasing a wide range of sites and experiences. On the first day, we visited the fortified churches of Prejmer and Hărman, followed by time in Poiana Brașov. It was a perfect introduction to the region’s history and scenery. The second day took us off the beaten path to the Vâltorile de la Lisa (Lisa Whirlpools), the Moara cu Noroc de la Ohaba (Lucky Ohaba Mill), and the impressive Făgăraș Fortress. This day was especially memorable for its mix of local traditions and medieval history. On the third day, we explored some of Romania’s most beautiful castles: Peleș, Pelișor, and Cantacuzino, each with its own unique character and story. Ramona and Radu were fantastic throughout the entire trip. Ramona was wonderful to work with during the planning process. She listened carefully to what I wanted to see, communicated openly, and helped create an itinerary that felt personal and well‑balanced. The pricing was fair, and there were no surprises. Both Ramona and Radu were knowledgeable, friendly, and professional, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend traveling with Day Trips Brasov!

She pitched the detail exactly how we wanted it, and changed the arrangements based on our needs. It was a great trip. I would recommend her unreservedly for anyone wanting a trip from Braşov.

5.00Ramona was fantastic. She did everything she could to ensure we had a great experience. We were first in to Peles Castle and therefore could experience with minimum disruption from crowds infront of us. This did mean going through at a pace but still enough time to listen and view it all. The Citadel was not available so she offered an alternative experience and offered advice on best ways to maximise time and money. She was knowledgeable on the history of the area and shared this with passion. Her vehicle was comfortable and clean.

5.00What a legend! Dinu, our tour guide, was not only super knowledgeable but also hilarious and so much fun to hang out with. He has this way of making history and culture feel exciting instead of boring, and he sprinkled in just the right amount of jokes and stories to keep us entertained the whole time. Honestly, it felt like exploring with a really smart friend who knows all the secret spots. He made sure everyone felt comfortable, answered every random question we threw at him, and somehow managed to make the whole group laugh and learn at the same time. Definitely the highlight of our trip! Now here’s the twist—we didn’t even want to leave this review. Not because he wasn’t amazing (he totally was), but because he’s our little secret and we don’t want anyone stealing him from us. But he insisted we write something, so fine… here it is. I hope he is not booked by somebody else when we come back 😂!
