The Kelpies & The Helix
The Kelpies - the largest equine sculptures in the world. Standing at 100ft tall and weighing more than 300 tonnes each, the magical Kelpies are a man-made wonder and a feat of engineering. The works of art, created by artist Andy Scott, have become iconic on the landscape after being modelled on real-life icons of times gone by — Clydesdale horses Duke and Baron. The Kelpies represent the lineage of the heavy horse of Scottish industry and economy, pulling the wagons, ploughs, barges and coalships that shaped the geographical layout of Falkirk. The Kelpies’ name reflects the mythological transforming beasts that possess the strength and endurance of 100 horses. Travel time: 20 mins.

Had the greatest trip around the highlands of Scotland with Bonnie Scotland Tours. Our guide, Donald, met us at the hotel in Edinburgh, kilt and all, and got us settled in our comfortable mini-van. Stocked with drinks and snacks we were off on the road for the next 5 days full of wonderous sites. Donald was a fabulous guide. Knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating through out the trip. He was on top of sorting out the various parties wishes. (Outlander stuff, castles, Highland cows, art, shopping) The tour covered abig loop of the highlands with stops at all the great locations to see. We did a train from Ft. Williams to Mallig and then a ferry to Isle of Skye. The were did a loop of Skye. With a final stop in Inverness we ended the tour back in Edinburgh. Can't say enough about how great our guide Donald was for the whole trip.

Outstanding experience. From working with their tour coordinator (Carol), quality of the vehicle and amazing guide (Adam), the entire tour was first class. My family (party of 5) thoroughly enjoyed our Highlands experience and will treasure our time spent in Scotland. Many thanks to the team for a great day in a wonderful land!

Robbie was a delight! He was so knowledgable and tailored our tour to our interests and energy level. We felt like we had a completely custom experience, the views were beautiful and the history was so interesting. Definitely one of our trip highlights due to the overall experience and tour guide. I know a 10-12 hour tour day sounds long but every moment is needed to see the sights - the van we were in was first class and super comfortable for the whole day. Plenty of planned restroom stops, snacks and sightseeing. Super grateful to Robbie for giving us a 10/10 tour!!!

My family and I had an absolutely wonderful time in the Scottish Highlands with Bonnie Scotland Tours….from the beginning with the booking itself and answering questions promptly with great communication and helping arrange and design the tour to the highlights we wanted to see they were just great….and the tour itself was amazing made even better by our terrific guide! Nathan had great knowledge of Scotland and its history and his passion for his country was palpable and just made it a great experience for my family and myself….he was so good he was even able to bring out the sun and not let it rain or the wind howl…..and on top of that my wife forgot her phone in the van despite Nathan asking us to check for everything as we got on train back to London…he raced to try to get it to the next train stop but just missed us but was so kind and overnighted us the phone back to London…can’t say enough great things about Nathan and Bonnie’s Scotland tours…look forward to doing tours with them in the future!

We were 4 persons, 2 couples. our guide David was really kind. This is an impression travel for those who never visited before this region. One shall not receive deep knowledge but visit many places (mostly outside) castles, lakes and the highpoint was for us Oban and the distillery. Unfortunately we had a dinner in Edinburgh so the trip was 13 hours long. It is a long eay and there are a lot of important monuments to see. I can recommend it for everybody who has only one day to get to know this part of Scotland.

Would recommend these guys a thousand times over. This was a great break from the hustle and bustle of the city! Not only informative, but super fun. We'll always remember our "dook" in the River Coe with Nathan!

Great experience that gives groups the chance to sample a bit of what Scotland and particularly the highlands have to offer. It’s a full day expedition where you’ll see numerous castles, beautiful rugged terrain of the highlands and even get to sample local fair in Oban! You’ll literally go across the isle. Glencoe, the Three Sisters and the rest of the highlands are not to be missed and highlight of the tour. Our guide, Noel, was excellent, informative, k knowledgeable and friendly. He has a passion for Scotland and Scottish history. If you’re a fan of British history or just natural beauty, I would recommend. Lunch was available in Oban and refreshments were provided on the tour as well. Prepare for a full day. And don’t miss the coos!

Absolutely great day out from start to finish. So much of Scotlands rugged beauty and history rolled into one easy going tour. Noel was great fun, very welcoming and really knowledgeable about the local history and we even had some good chats about music too. Would highly recommend this tour for friends and family alike.
