Garni Temple
Garni temple, which towers over a triangular cape, is the unique survived example of heathen culture in Armenia. It is a blend of Greco-Roman and Armenian styles. King Trdat The First ordered building the temple in the first century AD and dedicated it to the God of Sun. After adopting Christianity in 301, the pagan temple lost its significance and the fortress of Garni became the summer residence of the kings. Nowadays the ruins of the royal palace and the bathroom with a stunning mosaic work can be found near the temple.
The Monastery of Geghard
Geghard monastery is the unsurpassable masterpiece of the 13th century Armenian architecture. Some of the churches of the complex are masterfully hewn in a huge rock. From the outset the complex was called Ayrivank (cave monastery), later it was renamed Geghard (lance) as the lance, used by the roman soldier to sting Jesus Christ's side, had been kept in this monastery for many centuries. Due to its construction, Geghardavank serves the best place for singing spiritual songs. The complex is rich in subtle sculptural embellishments and many striking khachkars (cross-stones). The site is included in UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List.

After such a wonderful experience with Rose and Arthur on our previous tour, we booked a second day with them to visit Garni Temple, Geghard Monastery and the Garni Canyon Symphony of Stones. Once again, they exceeded all expectations. Rose is an outstanding guide whose passion for Armenia is evident in everything she does. Her knowledge of the history, architecture, religion and culture surrounding each site was remarkable. At Garni Temple, she brought Armenia’s pre-Christian history to life, while at Geghard Monastery she provided fascinating insight into the country’s early Christian heritage and the significance of this extraordinary UNESCO World Heritage site. Her explanations were engaging, informative and delivered with genuine enthusiasm. The Symphony of Stones was another highlight of the day, and Rose ensured we understood both the geological significance and local stories associated with this unique natural wonder. Throughout the tour, she was attentive, friendly and always willing to answer questions, making the experience both educational and enjoyable. Arthur was, as always, an excellent driver. He was professional, punctual and courteous throughout the day, and we felt completely comfortable and safe on every part of the journey. The vehicle was spotless and comfortable, allowing us to relax and enjoy the spectacular scenery. What makes Rose and Arthur such a fantastic team is not only their professionalism, but also their warmth and genuine care for their guests. They consistently went above and beyond to ensure we had the best possible experience. Having now spent two full days touring Armenia with them, we can confidently say they have been one of the highlights of our trip. We would recommend them without hesitation to anyone looking for an authentic, informative and memorable experience in Armenia. Thank you, Rose and Arthur, for another incredible day.

We really enjoyed our private tour of Garni, Geghard and Tsaghkadzor. We were a group of 6 from Italy. Our tour guide Meline and driver Sash were amazing, Meline explained a lot of history to us, and specifically she helped me with buying the best Gata, fruit lavash and choosing items to buy in Geghard. Meline was always ready to answer any questions we had and helped us resolve any issues that we faced. I really recommend them and I enjoyed booking with Hyur Service. Thank you! 😊

We had an incredible experience touring Geghard Monastery and the Symphony of Stones, learning all about Armenia’s ancient history while taking in spectacular scenery. Our guide Gayane was warm and knowledgeable, and our driver Samuel expertly handled roads meant for experts — he was awesome and made us feel completely safe. The day was full of great touches: delicious food at a local restaurant, fun food cart stops, and sweet dogs roaming around. A truly five-star experience. If you’re visiting Armenia, book this tour — you won’t regret it!

We went on a private tour with guide Samvel and driver Levon Karapetyan to visit Geghard Monastery, Garni Temple, and the Symphony of Stones. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience, starting with the smooth and safe drive provided by Levon, followed by an engaging and informative tour led by Samvel. Samvel is an excellent guide—highly knowledgeable, professional, and tactful. He shared many fascinating facts about the sites we visited, as well as Armenian history and its prominent historical figures. There was virtually no question that he could not answer with remarkable depth, insight, and consideration. Beyond the historical information, Samvel was also extremely helpful in showing us the best locations for photographs and helping us capture memorable pictures at the most scenic spots. I would highly recommend Samvel and Levon to anyone looking for a private tour in Armenia. Thank you both for a wonderful experience!

Jasmine (tour guide) and Avet (driver) both exceeded my expectations. Jasmine was so well informed, professional and educated about all the places we visited. Moreover, she went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. She answered all our questions with amazing depth of knowledge. One of the best tour guides I’ve had in a very long time.

We took a wonderful tour to the Temple of Garni, a symphony of rocks and so on on on May 18. It was very interesting and informative, comfortable, thanks to driver David and tour guide Haik. To be able to choose your seats on the bus, come in advance, by 9:30 it was almost all taken.
