Mae Klong Railway Market (Hoop Rom Market)
Visit the famous Maeklong Railway Market, one of the most unique markets in Thailand. Here, you will witness the incredible moment when the train passes directly through the market. As the train approaches the station, local vendors quickly pull back their umbrellas, fold their awnings, and move their goods away from the railway tracks to clear the path. Once the train has passed, everything is set up again within seconds, and the market returns to its lively atmosphere. At the market, you will find a wide variety of products including fresh fruits, vegetables, seafood, local snacks, and many inexpensive souvenirs. It is also a great place to observe the daily life of local people as they sell fresh produce and goods in this bustling traditional market. Don’t forget to take photos of this amazing and unique experience.
Damnoen Saduak Floating Market
After visiting the famous Maeklong Railway Market, continue the journey with a short 20-minute drive to the original floating market of Thailand, Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. At the floating market, enjoy tasting a variety of delicious Thai desserts and local foods recommended by your guide. Experience the vibrant atmosphere as local vendors sell their goods from boats along the canal. Taking the whole family to Ayutthaya and the markets felt like a breeze thanks to Poppy. She handled all the logistics so we didn‘t have to think about a thing, which gave us peace of mind with the little ones. She’s not just a great guide; she’s like a local friend who knows exactly how to make the day fun for everyone. We’ll definitely book with her again!

We were lucky to do the private tour of 1 day with the wonderful guide Ten, who in addition to speaking very well Spanish, also speaks a little Portuguese. We went to see the famous market where the train passes, we went to the floating market and visited 2 temple ruins in the old capital of Thailand. I highly recommend this tour, the most peaceful and personalized way to get to know a little more of this amazing country.

I have to say, I don’t usually book tours, but this was hands down the best one I’ve ever been on. For me, a great tour means a great guide, good organization, and interesting places and this tour had everything! Especially our guide, Poppy. She’s so sweet, friendly, and really knows the area. She made the whole trip so much fun. I highly recommend this tour to everyone, you’re going to love it!

An amazing and fun packed day. The Railway market and the floating market are great fun. And the temples just awe inspiring. Be warned there is a lot of driving and we were exhausted by the end but would strongly recommend the experience. Our guide Henry was excellent and our driver Mr Tam very attentive.

Today, I took my family on a tour with a guide Poppy. Our first stop was the Maeklong Railway Market; watching the train pass through the market was so exciting! I loved it, and the kids had a blast too. Next, we visited a floating market. It was so lively with plenty of food and souvenirs, and we even got to take a boat ride. Poppy treated us to some coconut ice cream, which was deliciously sweet! After that, we headed to Ayutthaya. It was a bit of a drive, but absolutely worth it the ruins were beautiful, and we even got to take photos in traditional Thai costumes. Even though lunch wasn't included in the tour, we asked Poppy to take us to a restaurant with giant river prawns. It was such a special meal; the prawns were incredibly fresh and sweet. Overall, we loved this trip! Thank you to Poppy for taking such great care of us. She is funny, lovely, and very friendlyWe’ll miss you, Poppy!

Amazing day. Our guide Katie was the best. She knew where all the best eats were. And where the best spots to stand when the train comes by. Even after the tour, Katie and her driver drove us to Terminal 21 to do some “air conditioned” shopping 😅

Poppy is a really great guide. She knows a lot about Thai history and traditions, and explains things in a simple, easy-to-understand way. She’s very polite and thoughtful, and always explained the meaning behind the places we visited clearly. She really put effort into making the whole experience feel meaningful without it feeling too serious or formal. Overall, it was a very enjoyable and memorable day with her.
