Fantastic tour. The guide, Peter, was very knowledgeable and told us things we didn’t know about the real Von Trapp family and the makings of The Sound of Music. The coverage of the tour was quite comprehensive and the bus was very comfortable, with air-conditioning that was so good in the heat. Only improvement is to include a toilet stop before leaving Mondsee for Salzburg.

It’s such a great way to see Salzburg and the area around the city. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about not just the Sound of Music but the history of the Von Trapp family and how it relates to recent history. Definitely recommend.

Laura, our tour guide, made this special! She not only covered all the movie scene locations but also the behind-the-scenes stories and history. I highly recommend this tour while in Salzburg.

We had an excellent time. We liked being part of a smaller group of 8 and our guide was really good at giving us insights and fun facts throughout. Would recommend.

Bob’s special tours does an especially good job of making guests feel welcome and cared for —. even though they’re only guests for four hours. Our tour guide went out of his way for all of us individually and as a group.

Fun trip to see the Austrian countryside and filming sights from the Sound of Music. We listened to music from the Sound of Music during the ride, and our guide taught us all about the history and fun facts of the movie.

The tour was April 20. There were 8 of us in a minivan. The guide was a very nice and kind gentleman. But the van was so small, and we were in the back seat with coats on. I could not see the sights since the head rest was there in front of me. A baby was in the center of the middle seat and crying. I was claustrophobic in the back seat. I could not see out well, neither could my husband who had a window seat. A kind gentleman offered to let me sit in front. If it weren't for that, I would not have tolerated and would have asked to get out. The van is not a tall van, but rather a mini van. I would have rather stayed in Salzburg and gone to the castle and other sights. Which we missed. We missed almost everything in town since the guide took us many miles out of town to see the church where the wedding took place in the movie.

We like The Sound of Music and everyone we know recommended a SOM tour. We picked Bob's because we could do a small group. It was interesting to learn about Salzburg and to be able to see things outside of the city. Our guide was fun and informative.
