As you explore our boutique winery, you’ll see firsthand how we select, ferment, and bottle our wines—and even have the chance to label a bottle yourself. Your guided tasting will feature five wines, including the IWSC 2024 Bronze Medal-winning MOONQ Nrneni 2023 and the MUNDUS 2024 Silver Medal-winning MOONQ Coupage 2022 (Areni, Khndoghni, Nrneni). • Loved it!

My partner and I had the best time at this wine tasting experience and would recommend it to everyone visiting Yerevan. From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect — delicious snacks, amazing wines, and the warmest hospitality from our host, Tevan. We had a private tour of the winery, with the most beautiful view of Mount Ararat. Tevan showed us around, shared the story behind his winery and wines, and made the whole experience incredibly personal and memorable. It was very interesting to hear about the process from growing and collecting the grapes to the winemaking and the bottling. You can truly feel the passion and craftsmanship. We loved trying all the different wines, from fresh whites and rosés to the very special red Nrneni, which was absolutely unforgettable. Such a unique and authentic experience, and definitely one of the highlights of our trip.

  • Beyond Tasting: An Absolute Masterclass in Armenian Wine - Moonq wine

If you are looking for an authentic and soul-stirring experience, this family-owned winery is a must-visit. The highlight of our visit was Mr. Poghosyan. He is a true renaissance man—the owner, the winemaker, and a master sommelier all in one. Beyond his expertise, he is a phenomenal storyteller. He captivated us with fascinating histories and personal anecdotes that made every sip feel significant. The Wine: the quality of the wine is exceptional. We were particularly impressed by the use of the Nreni grape, a rare Armenian variety that gives the wine a distinct and unforgettable character. We liked a lot the MOONQ Reserve - Red Dry Wine - Nrneni 2022! Intimate Atmosphere: Being a family winery, the hospitality feels genuine and warm. We highly recommend this place!

Warm family environment. Small business, very cozy place. The owner performs guidance and tells the story of creating the brand (extremely interesting). Good for group of 4 to 12. Excellent experience 🫰

I recently had the pleasure of going on a wine tasting tour, and it was truly a memorable experience. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Mr. Tevan Poghosyan was knowledgeable, sharing interesting stories about the winemaking process, grape varieties, and the history behind each bottle. We tried a great selection of wines — from light, refreshing whites to rich, full-bodied reds — each with its own unique character. What I especially loved was learning how to properly taste wine and notice subtle flavors. The setting, the quality of the wines, and the overall organization were excellent. It’s a perfect activity whether you’re a wine enthusiast or just looking for a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to unwind, learn something new, and enjoy beautiful surroundings with a glass of wine in hand.

TP Winery, with its stunning view of Mount Ararat, is a hidden gem in the world of Armenian winemaking. Known for its small-batch productions, the winery offers a delightful selection, particularly its signature red blend, which features rich dark berry flavors, subtle oak, and a hint of spice. The smooth tannins and balanced acidity make it perfect for sipping or pairing with food. With an intimate tasting experience and passionate staff, TP Winery provides a memorable escape for wine lovers seeking quality and beauty.

  • Moonq: The Wine That Speaks in DNA

    Arthur M,Sep 9, 2025

    - Review from Viator

    5.00

Perched in Kharberd, not far from the storied slopes where Mount Ararat rises, the family run TP winery is a revelation for anyone curious about contemporary Armenian winemaking. Their Moonq range -- crafted in small, handcrafted lots -- covers a pleasingly broad spectrum: bright, fruity whites and rosés that sing of fresh orchard and summer berries; a velvety red blend that balances silk and spice; and a hearty, tannic red Nrneni that delivers concentrated dark fruit and mineral grip. What strikes you first is the clarity of fruit and the sense of place in every bottle: these are wines with personality and purpose. The rapid ascent of Moonq wines is no accident. In under five years the winery’s artisanal approach has won attention at international competitions and earned warm commendations from critics -- testimony to the care that goes into each vintage. Vine tending is attentive and sustainable, vinification is meticulously tested in laboratory, the cellar is modest but exacting. The result is consistency across small batches, where each bottle feels like a considered essay on grape and terroir rather than an industrial mass product. A visit to the TP tasting room is equally memorable. The winemaker leads tastings personally, and his stories are as much a part of the experience as the wines: origins of each parcel, the peculiarities of the soil, the trials of getting the qulaity grapes, the triumphs of a blend that finally came together -- told with a warmth and humility that deepen one’s appreciation. Tasting Moonq wines with his narration turns flavors into narratives; acidity, tannin and aroma become chapters rather than isolated sensations. My personal favorites are Moonq 2022 Nrneni Reserve, matured in the oak casks from Artsakh, and the dark rose 2023, the most gastronomic wine I've ever tasted. You can enjoy with any food pairings from salads grilled fish and mezze to roasted meats and mature cheeses. Whether you’re a seasoned oenophile or a curious traveler, TP’s Moonq line is well worth seeking out -- both for the wines themselves and for the human stories that give them soul.
