Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area
The Red Rock area has a complex geological history, which over millions of years, helped create the region's dramatic landscape. Red Rock Canyon features a one-way 13-mile scenic drive, trails, plants and wildlife and amazing geology. The conservation area showcases a set of large red rock formations: a set of sandstone peaks and walls that were formed by thrust faults including the Keystone Thrust. The walls are up to 3,000 feet (910 m) high, making them a popular hiking destination. The highest point is La Madre Mountain, at 8,154 feet (2,485 m). The first humans were attracted to the Red Rock area due to its resources of water, plant, and animal life that could not be easily found in the surrounding desert. Hunters and gatherers such as the historical Southern Paiute and the much older Archaic, or Desert Culture Native Americans, have successively occupied this area. Numerous petroglyphs, as well as pottery fragments, remain today throughout the area.
The Red Rock Canyon Visitor Center is an informational hub for visitors filled with indoor and outdoor exhibits, plant specimens from throughout the canyon, and live Desert Tortoise habitats. Restrooms are also available here if needed.

https://grandcanyondestinations.com and tourorders.com are a SCAM Booked and paid in October this tour for 6 people (2 adults 4 kids) as part of a Christmas Present - April trip to Vegas. Tour took my money, confirmed and then the day I arrived in Vegas (2 days before the tour they cancelled) They have not even processed the $600+ dollar refund yet and it's been WEEKS! WARNING scam.

Would have loved to write a review if our tour hadn’t been canceled the day before!

Overall experience was good. Communication was great. Accommodating to our situation with a cancelled flight. Kevin was a very knowledgeable tour guide!! Only downfall was the food situation. The gas station didn’t offer any warm food other than McDonald’s. I don’t eat McDonald’s so my options were VERY limited. My suggestion is finding an area where multiple fast food spots are an option!! Or a 7-11 that offers more actual food. It would have also been great to know how the Hoover dam visitors center works (how the other tours cost). I only say this because my mom who is usually in a wheelchair walked down for us to have to come back up and we could have reserved her energy! It wasn’t horrible just could have saved time and energy. Again overall it was a good tour and we enjoyed our experience!! Thanks.

This was a great tour. I able to get away from busy stripe for a half day. Kevin, tour guide/driver was amazing. He was friendly andknowledgeable. My tour day was rescheduled from my original requested day due to not having enough people; this was only downside

Description claims there is water. Tho hot bottled water stowed under the bus wasn’t exactly what was expected. With temperatures in the high 90’s. And wasn’t offered till after we made a stop to purchase $10 water. And the lack of food or the option of was very lacking! At the stop for food. The one lady microwaving food was so far behind. It would make you say, no thank you! The sights and other experiences were great!

The only thing I didn’t like was leaving quite that early in the morning; an hour later probably would have been better for me. Having the lunch eliminated was disappointing but worked out fine. Kevin was knowledgeable and engaged. We were all a little tired.

The sites were wonderful and we enjoyed every stop. However, the guide was very disappointing. He was a nice person but his presentation lacked content and professionalism. So much of his presentation was idle chatter that had nothing to do with the excursion. He had two trainees along which was fine but he often engaged in senseless chatter that had nothing to do with the trip. He shared very little information and facts during the trip. We felt like he was “winging “ it. He had a nice personality but was lacking in an agenda of information to share. His sense of timing needs to be improved, he decided that on the hour return trip was the time to engage the group in Las Vegas trivia . People were tired and this attempt at fun fell way short. Probably the most unprofessional act was his pitch on tipping. He sounded like a high pressure car salesman trying to convince you to give generously. Tipping information was printed in the brochure and there was no reason to have a 10 minute dissertation on it. It was offensive. All he had to say was “We appreciate any tip you would like to give and also appreciate tips for our driver “. In hindsight we felt the lack of knowledge and professionalism was missing. Lastly, the sites were awesome but the guide needs new training.

Red Rock Canyon was the highlight of my trip to Las Vegas! I’m a little afraid of heights so I enjoyed it even more than the Grand Canyon! Absolutely stunning!
