Discover the terroir of Rivesaltes with Nicolas, former cellar master and passionate Guide. In a small group of up to 8 people, this half-day tour takes you to the heart of one of Roussillon's vineyards.
You cross the Roussillon plain from Domaine Boudau, a Certified Organic Family Winery. The Pyrenees and the Mediterranean frame the landscape.
Nicolas Guides you through the vineyards and explains how the soil, the Mediterranean climate and the local grape varieties shape each wine. In the wine cellar, you will discover the key stages of production: fermentation, aging in stainless steel tanks or oak barrels, blending.
The tour ends with a guided tasting of the wines of the estate: dry white and red wines, and the famous Natural Sweet Wines of Rivesaltes, among the most remarkable in France.
This experience is aimed at both wine lovers and beginners.

What To Expect
Domaine Boudau
After your reception at the estate, you will leave for a getaway in the vineyard where you will discover the specificity of the Rivesaltes terroir as well as the farming methods in Organic Farming. This is where it all begins: you will understand the impact of this terroir, the climate and the grape varieties. Always accompanied by your guide, head to the wine cellar. You will discover the key stages of winemaking and work in the cellar. You will observe the influence of aging on different cuvées, in stainless steel vats or in barrels, there is always a reason! Finally, end your visit to the cellar with an introduction to wine tasting. You will learn the different stages of tasting and you will be able to begin to put words, feelings on the wines you will taste. After this morning, the wines of Rivesaltes will have no more secrets for you!

5.00Great wine‑tasting experience with Nicholas at Rivaltes. The vineyard tour and visit to the bottling facility were both excellent, and the wines were a real highlight — especially the sweet, aromatic styles the region is famous for. The convenient pick‑up right in the centre of Perpignan made the whole morning easy and enjoyable. Highly recommended.

5.00Went here for a friends birthday while in Perpignan. Nicholas was our guide, it was fantastic, friendly and engaging. Good weight between learning and drinking. Had the snacks, they were great with the wine. The wine is lovely, particularly on a summer afternoon. Also happy to give advice on where to visit in the main town Would recommend to a friend

5.00We had spent a very nice morning according to the described program. No matter if wine novice or wine connoisseur, the tour was very informative. Nicolas explained a lot about wine and did not owe an answer. In the end, there were a whole range of wines from white to rosé to red to taste, not without the expert descriptions of Nicolas. However, here I would like to add a piece of baguette, especially due to the early time of day of the rehearsal.

5.00Must do while in Perpignan. Contacted Nicolas directly and he had space the following morning. Unfortunately a party of 5 cried off last minute . Great to be picked up in the town . Easy to find and air conditioned mini bus is nice and new . This meant we had a Private tour by Proxy!! We visited the old Winery , vineyards and the new winery . It was very informative, beautiful scenery and great wine . Started with the vineyards and a glass of wine on the plot . Back to the new property and a tour and finished with a sweet wine . Back to the old winery for more wine tasting across the range . 7 tastings later . Back to Perpignan before the day was too hot. Thank you so much Nicolas .
