I traveled alone to Hawaii to celebrate my birthday. On the day of the tour, I felt nervous, but then the most adventurous guide arrived for me. Travis was an excellent guide, very attentive, and shared a lot of the history of Hawaii and native words. He made the tour very light, and had us sing "Waterfalls" every time one appeared on the way. He warned us that he would not stop talking the entire way, and he kept his word. I loved him. He gave us tips to make the most of the stops. The breakfast was delicious at a super nice place. We tried Huli Huli Chicken, it was my favorite food during all my vacation 🤤 You will appreciate the most beautiful landscapes of the Island of Maui. I loved this tour! Mahalo! 🤙🏻💚

MY wife and I took the Road to Hana tour, and had a very nice time. It is a very narrow, windy, twisty road, but the drive was very good. There were plenty of stops along the way to buy food, souvenirs, look at waterfalls, and to go to the bathroom. The bus is air conditioned and comfortable. My only objection was that the told us that they would pick us up at our hotel, but then notified us that we would have to meet them at another location, instead. It was not a long walk, but if you make a commitment, you should keep it. The food they provided was OK. The driver was a nice fellow, informative and kind.

This was the best tour and if you are visiting Maui, it is a must see. Kawika was our driver and an excellent host for the day! Booking was easy, we received a call the day before to confirm our plan to attend. The bus picked us up at our hotel and arrived early (we were the first stop). The bus was clean and comfortable and beverages were available throughout the trip. We had several bathroom stops and Kawika had everything we needed to accommodate our needs for those stops. We made several stops to see the scenic sites along the way. Kawika was an excellent driver and our safety was his primary concern - which was very important for me given my whole family was on the bus with me. It rained throughout the trip but that did not interfere with Kawika's safe driving or our ability to enjoy the tour. It is beautiful, so many different plants, flowers, and waterfalls!!!!! My favorite was the rainbow eucalyptus trees!!!! It is all fascinating and a beauty to behold! Kawika shared many insights about the island and Hana as he drove along the way. My other favorite part was the turtles on the beach that we saw at the end of the tour! Breakfast and lunch was good and the banana bread (warm with whipped butter) was AWESOME!!! Thank you Kawika for a wonderful Hana experience! My family and I will remember you and this Hana experience forever!!!!

Amazing experience with Valley Isle Excursions on the Road to Hana tour! We were a family of 6, and everything from start to finish was so well organized and enjoyable. First, we appreciated the seamless pickup from our hotel in Ka' anapali at 6:30 AM. Our tour guide, Malia (a Hana native), was incredibly fun, informative, and helpful throughout the entire day. She shared so much about Maui’s history, culture, and hidden gems, which made the trip even more memorable. One thing we especially appreciated was how safe and confident she made us feel during all the winding curves and turns along the Road to Hana. Her driving was excellent, and we were able to relax and fully enjoy the breathtaking scenery. Despite even getting a flat tire during the second half of the tour, Malia remained calm and in no way was our tour delayed. The 12-person tour bus was also a big plus. It was comfortable with lots of leg room. We were pleased with the continental breakfast at Maui Tropical Plantation, and the Huli Huli chicken lunch was onolicious! Water and Hawaiian drinks were also provided. Malia even gave us samples of local treats like Aunt Sandy’s banana bread (still hot!) and coconut ice cream along the route. To top it all off, there was a special surprise at the end of the tour. 🐢 Highly recommend Valley Isle Excursions and mahalo Aunty Malia! A hui hou! -The Blanco/Trinidad 'Ohana

We had an absolutely amazing Road to Hana experience and a huge part of that was thanks to our driver and guide, Aukai. He was friendly, knowledgeable, funny and made the whole day feel relaxed and effortless while navigating the winding roads safely. From swimming at waterfalls and seeing the incredible rainbow eucalyptus trees, to black sand beaches, turtles, stunning scenery and the famous Aunt Sandy’s banana bread — every stop felt special. Aukai shared so much local knowledge along the way and truly made the tour memorable. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Maui — an unforgettable day from start to finish! The only thing missing was a stop in Hana Town itself it was a shame we did not get the chance to experience this and take photos to add to our memories

This was one of the highlights of our trip. The scenery was spectacular and the vista stops plentiful. Our guide, Kawika, was the star of the show, though. His knowledge of Hana, Maui, and Hawaii was vast and rich in history. What really shone through was his passion for the land, the people, the language, and the culture. All around superb!

Excellent tour guide—Malia! She is a Hana local which made it even better. Great knowledge of the landscaping, waterfalls, animals, etc! Good pacing of bathroom and snack breaks. Lunch was delicious!

do not recommend this tour at all, may be satisfying for someone who hasn't done road to hāna and just wants to go on the drive but as someone who has been this was a waste of time and money. to brief, there is a few stops and u do not have a say in where or how long. the huli huli chicken is not from the famous stand, they pick it up from the breakfast place in the morning (which was awful breakfast). the WORST part is you are under the impression you are going to the classic huli huli chicken place to get lunch, nope! the driver takes you nearly 45 mins off the route to "aunties" house and says auntie wants to meet us...who is auntie???? well it's an elder women who is selling jewelry at her house for insane prices, and now you have to stay there and eat ur knock off huli huli chicken and walk around her garden. that whole ordeal is almost a 2 hour waste of ur time. i could go on more but trust me 0/10 rip off do not recommend. do not listen to the other reviews, they have no idea how amazing the road to hāna could be if you do it right.
