We had an awesome time with Nicki. She was a local, very knowledgeable and ready to help us in any way to make our time there the best it could be. The beach time was our least favorite, but the animals and the snorkeling were terrific! She was willing to take us to a chocolate maker, but by the time we were finished snorkeling, we were ready to return to the ship. She was a star!

Super easy tour that tailors to your timing! Transport is by individual families so as so as you get off ship you can start and beat the crowds. AJs animal park was amazing to interact with all the animals. Then snorkeling on a beautiful reef with tons of fish and coral. Then hours at Brady Cay beach club which was peaceful and has more great snorkeling opportunity. Can stay as long as want bc individual transport back. JJ our tour guide was awesome! Just book it, lady.

Great choice for our Roatán port day, traveling as 2 moms and 2 teen girls. This was such a fun day for all of us . The girls loved getting to see and interact with all the animals, especially the guinea pigs and the monkeys. Our time at the island snorkeling and relaxing on the beach was also a hit. Our guide JJ was super friendly and even stopped for us to get coffee at a place he recommended. All in all a really great experience!

Our tour operator met us just outside of the main gates of the port, this was quite a walk with several stairs, so it would definitely not be ideal of guests with mobility issues. JJ was our guide for the day and he was very friendly and kind, spoke very clear english, and told us about the area while taking us to our first stop in his private vehicle. First up was the animal sanctuary. We were given a private tour with just us 4, we held and played with 80 guinea pigs, got to meet and feed the sloths which were very active. Then we met and held the 3 resident macaws. Then it was off to the monkeys which were our favorite part. They would jump on our heads and climb all over us, they were very friendly and so funny. After meeting all the animals we were given an opportunity to tip the handlers and view the photos taken by the professional photographer. The pictures were $10 per person and we were emailed a google drive link for them within 48 hours as promised. Next was the snorkeling. We were taken to a very primitive boat where we took a short trip to our snorkeling site. We were provided with clean and well maintained snorkel, mask, and flippers. There were only 8 in our group so it was not crowded and we were given bottled water. Our guide got in the water with us and guided us around the reef showing us many different things such as male and female sea urchins, conchs, and others things. We were given time to explore on our own and saw fish and turtles. Next we were taken to the “beach club.” This part was particularly unimpressive. The beach was more dirt and rock than sand. The beach loungers were dirty and many had bird poop on them. We were given a menu with extremely overpriced drinks and food. They did have outdoor showers for us to rinse off and clean bathrooms for changing. We opted not to stay here and instead asked JJ to take us back to the port. He was able to take us right into the port so no long walk back. All in all, I would absolutely recommend this experience and feel we got a good value with just the animal sanctuary and the snorkeling, but if you are looking for a great beach experience this is not the one for you. Things to bring with you: wear your swim suit and shoes that can get wet. Beach towel Change of clothes Under water camera Sunscreen Cash for tips-we tipped JJ, the boat captain, animal handlers, and photographer. Cash for souvenirs and photos and food/drink.

I was hesitant at first to not book through the cruise line, I would hands down book this excursion again!! Leon was fabulous. He was very knowledgeable about island facts and answered and questions. Getting through the gauntlet of people leaving port was a bit of a challenge, but just follow their directions of looking for the their signs and they are right at the entrance. The island you relax at had good food and drink and I encourage you to bring your own snorkel equipment as the snorkeling at the beach while you wait is great!! We all very much enjoyed the animals and were able to spend plenty of time. Snorkeling was amazing. Leon even added a stop for souvenirs. Only thing I wish we could change was to be able to spend more time. This was our favorite excursion of our cruise. Hands down! We will be back!

Fun time at the animal park and great snorkeling. The beach was nice and quiet as well. JJ was our driver and was fantastic. Love to hear from the locals and how hard they work. Certainly recommend this tour and the people are so friendly in Roatan. Love to come back again. Great alternative to the expensive ship excursions.

You will be in a sedan size car with a personal chafer/tour guide. They will do additional stops if you would like if you leave on time. Adrez was phenomenal!!! He stopped to let us get a latte (Honduran coffee). He was really knowledgeable and friendly. He made us feel really special by answering questions and explaining the area/culture. Adrez took us thtough town to the animal sanctuary and then to snorkeling. After snorkeling we went to a beach. My husband doesn’t care for sand. He and the crew took us back early so we could get back to the cruise ship to eat lunch.
