Extremely bad experience. The ferry was delayed for 2 hours from the original timing in the morning and was only informed to us via email 1 hour before the departure time. To compound the problem, the return ferry was also cancelled and pushed earlier by 1 hr. Both changes were only informed on the morning itself via email, leaving tourists with no choice but to change the date, and also making it impossible to do that on the day itself for international tourists going around Western Australia. Most only knew it when we reached the terminal and were frustrated at the terminal. Unfortunately, absolutely nothing was done by Rottnest Express. The staff on site had great service and were friendly, but the management is unfortunately unprofessional. Despite sending an official request by email to the management, the email went ignored after 10 days. Have repeatedly sent reminder emails and offered to speak on the phone to discuss, but efforts went ignored. Such is the professionalism. It is a pity that a tourist experience and post-trip after-sales service is destroyed by 1 ferry operator's management professionalism. Hope the management of Rottnest sees this disappointing feedback and reflects upon the values of why you operate a ferry for people to go to Rottnest Island. As a service provider, this is appalling. A representative from the company provided a holding statement emphasising safety priority due to mechanical issues, but a mechanical issue is also a problem of your company and the company should be responsible for these problems and compensate for the ferry tickets. For Rottnest Island, this is a major tourism attraction for the entire Western Australia. Most international tourists go on a day tour due to logistical and time constraints. Hence, such a decision by Rottnest Express effectively rendered the trip useless, condensing our trip to only 3.5 hours on the island. Ask anyone who has been to Rottnest, how is that sufficient? ( including lunch time) Not only did it spoil our itinerary that day, but it also wasted 1 day of our trip, which we could have used it else where better. Suggest staying away from this operator. Hope to get the management

I am just writing this review due to a very disappointing experience renewing Red Rider passes. Me and my wife both had passes for the whole year last year and due to a finance issue I renewed mine earlier than my wife. My wife literally went on a day or two later to purchase hers and was told that no more were available and after a lot of back and forth we were told they would make no exception meaning there will be a long period where only I will have the red rider pass which is majorly frustrating. My wife will now have to purchase in November which has thrown everything out of sync for both us. The rating of 2 is entirely to do with this situation as there has been no offer to rectify or make good of the situation and I have had no response to my last email I sent.

I had a very poor customer service experience at the Fremantle office. I visited on Tuesday morning (24th) after purchasing a one-way ticket and simply asked why my friend had received a significantly cheaper fare. While I was offered the option to switch to a return ticket, the staff member handling my enquiry was dismissive, impatient, and came across as unnecessarily rude. The interaction felt uncomfortable from start to finish, and it was clear there was little interest in actually helping or explaining the situation properly. This is not the level of service customers should expect when asking a straightforward question. I would strongly recommend management address this, as behaviour like this reflects poorly on the business and will likely drive customers elsewhere. Perhaps the girl just finds her job challenging and being rude is her way of dealing with stress. Maybe a different role would suit her better where noone has to interact with her - I suggest stacking shelves during the night at a supermarket. Regards, Simon

Great trip, definitely visit the bakery and icecream shop. We did the jump on jump off bus trip, if you sit on the raised bit towards the back of the bus great views. We got off at the light house in the middle of the island and did the tour which was brilliant albeit with over 100 steps to the top of the light house.

Did not enjoy. Too crowded and commercial. The bike ride was good but we spent too much time queuing up. Staff everywhere was great

I ordered tickets in January and we visited Rottnest on March 17th. Boat was prompt and comfortable, pretty full each way, possibly because we took the first boat over and the last boat back.

Rottnest Island is a very special place. Rottnest Express is a great way to get there. We left from Northport & returned to BShed. Luggage & bikes delivered seamlessly. Thank you
