The Tasting Rooms are situated on the first and second floor up two flights of stairs. There are handrails on the staircases. Due to the historical nature of the building there is no lift!
All participants must be 18+ years of age (alcohol restriction) - children aged 8-17 will be offered soft drinks.
What To Expect
Join us for a fun and informative spirit tasting starting with a welcome Rum and Mixer as you relax and learn how we make our spirits. This is followed by a tutored tasting of Shakespeare Distillery spirits. (Alcohol served to 18+ guests, children 9-17 will be offered soft drinks.)

5.00Putting my review for the Rum making class here as I couldn't find a specific spot for it. I had limited time to make it to the class due to my travel arrangements and the team at Shakespeare Distillery were super accommodating even offering to store my bag if I couldn't check in before the class when I emailed them about my situation. The class is a 3 hour workshop where you choose which flavours you would like to infuse your Rum with, I chose Christmas tones of currants, nutmeg etc, and the team are there to help guide when it comes to quantity. The guys had a great sense of humour and made the learning experience fun. During the session we also had 3 Rum based cocktails and three tastings so make sure if you do sign up for this course you aren't driving as you don't want to miss trying them all (as well as your own creation at the end). Looking forward to getting my family and friends to taste test the Rum I made during this session.

5.00I went here with a friend and sadly we was so late due to traffic. Katherine was absolutely lovely when we got there ( 50 mins late) and stayed on to let us have some tasters and share some her knowledge. Was very much appreciated after the journey we had!

5.00We had a great time distilling our own rum at Judith's in Stratford-upon-Avon. All the staff from Shakespeare Distillery, including those doing the experience and serving in the shop, were extremely friendly, helpful and informative. This certainly enhanced the enjoyment during the day. If anyone is looking for a fun gift for a loved one, especially if they like rum or gin, this experience is ideal!

5.00This was bought as a Birthday present for me. I attend with my son and both of us agreed it was a great 3 hours. The whole experience was very interesting and great atmosphere. All staff made you feel very welcome, and were very knowledgeable and helpful. Well worth doing again.

5.00Thoroughly enjoyed the rum tasting experience. Our host Katherine was incredibly informative, funny and kept the guests entertained. The experience is relatively short, around an hour long, but I found that length of time to be sufficient. Definitely would recommend to anyone interested in how rum is made etc.
Now I feel like a rum expert!

5.00Absolutely amazing experience! This was a Christmas present and it surpassed all expectations by far! An excellent afternoon spent with enthusiastic owners who absolutely loved the business they were in. Thoroughly entertaining and informative and to come out slightly tipsy after the afternoon was an unexpected outcome. The experience was very generous and we had many laughs along the way, with the staff who were passionate about, and absolutely loved the products they were promoting. Definitely recommend 100% to everyone! Thank you to all the staff for a wonderful experience 😊

5.00Gin experience was great fun! Super venue in centre of Stratford, beautiful old building. Our host had lots of knowledge about the history of gin, the process involved etc. She was very friendly and kept us entertained for the hour. Lovely flavoured gins to sample with different mixers. Really recommend this experience
