Maria gave us one of the best experiences we had in San Francisco! Her foodie tour through Chinatown and North Beach was absolutely fantastic — a perfect mix of incredible food, rich history, and great company. She was so knowledgeable about both the history and current culture of San Francisco, which added so much depth to the tour. From hidden gems to iconic bites, every stop was thoughtfully chosen and absolutely delicious. We had plenty to eat with a wide variety of flavors — from savory dumplings to decadent Italian pastries. Maria’s passion for the city and its food scene really shines through. Highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to eat well and learn a lot in the process!

DO NOT BOOK. This was a disaster. I’ve requested a full refund. “Tour” began ten minutes late because our guide, Michael was “stuck in traffic”. Our walking tour started with a 20 minute walk to a bus stop (where I had to pay the bus fee). Once we arrived at the restaurant, the guide learned that the restaurant was closed. He then asked us to go shopping while he figured out the rest of the tour. At that point…I told him that it was not going to work out and ended the “tour”.

Michael was a fantastic guide! He knew so much about Chinatown and North Beach! We were fortunate enough to visit a temple on New Year's and ate the most delicious pasta in North Beach. Truly a memorable experience!

I booked the San Francisco food tour. Less than a week before my tour, the operator told me they had no guides for the day I booked and that I could either select a different day or cancel my booking. Since we were only available that one day, I had to cancel my booking. It's unfortunate that the company doesn't have enough staff to fulfill the dates and times they are showing available.

I have been on many food tours and most of them are an incredible way to get to know the city. As it happens, I've been living in the Bay Area for nearly 15 years and wanted to do something unique with my husband for the afternoon - we've not spent much time in this part of town. My expectation is that the tour guide knows the places we visit inside an out. Usually they have some type of an arrangement with the establishment - saved seats, pre-ordered menus, so that we don't have to wait in line, or try to get a table. I can do that on my own. I honestly barely understood what we paid for in this case. The tour guide is a lovely person - but my expectations were much higher.

The local food was amazing. We had the BEST focaccia bread! We were able to experience food in North Beach (Italian) and Chinatown. Our tour guide, Maria, was so knowledgeable about the area and knew the people in the restaurants we went to.

We asked for an early food tour and Maria was able to take us to some great places! She was very knowledgeable about culture, history, and food. She was born in San Francisco so she knew many of the people where we stopped. We walked from our hotel (a few blocks from Fisherman's Wharf) to North Beach (Italian) and Chinatown. Our first stop was fresh ground coffee- we didn't get any to drink as not available. Then to Italian bakery. We had great coffee and sweets! She explained sites along the way and pointed out great places to each lunch and supper. She bought us some things to eat later at the bakery. We had the BEST fresh focaccia bread!!!! Then to Chinatown. It was so unique to walk all the fresh markets. She loaded us up with some food from a local restaurant. We saw the ladies making fortune cookies. Then we went to another local restaurant to eat some lunch. It was delicious!! The tour ended here and we walk back to hotel by ourselves. It is important that you can walk long distances if you do this tour.
