The tour was so great! Everything went smoothly for us. Definitely a must when you visit El Salvador. Our tour guide Diego was awesome. He was very attentive, provided so much knowledge, and really catered to our experience.

I’m not going to lie. The hike was challenging! I was huffing and puffing all the way up but the views were beautiful along the way. I felt proud of myself after completing the hike. Don’t forget to bring a change of clothes for the lake. Even if you don’t want to get in the water - bring clothes because you’ll be so sweaty after the hike. If you want to jet ski then you can do that at the second stop. The food was really good. I’ve been on tours where they take you to their restaurant partners and the food is so-so. This restaurant had delicious drinks and food. Arely was a great communicator! I knew when they arrived at my hotel. She kept encouraging us up the very difficult hike! She took great pictures and was an all around nice person to spend time with. I enjoyed her and the driver was great. I’d recommend booking this excursion!

We had a great time with our guide Steffany! She picked us up on time and was very accommodating along the way. The hike was hard but I’m glad I went on it and the view at the end was amazing! Would definitely book this service again! 5 star experience :)

We did the hike to Santa Ana Volcano with Jocelyn as our guide and she was excellent. Obviously the hike and the scenery were incredible but Jocelyn really made it special! She was warm, friendly and a fantastic guide. The hike itself was not too strenuous 2 hours up and 2 hours down with some steep parts but manageable even for two people who are not regular hikers

We had a great time hiking up the Santa Ana Volcano, despite some poor weather We got picked up from Santa Ana and the tour group takes you to the carpark, where they then add you to a larger shared group with the guides who are based at the volcano. It's a very busy trail, quite easy, but if the wind is bad at the top it is very windy and verges on dangerous. Stay safe! Admission fees to the volcano trek are covered by the tour group, the tour was a little on the expensive side but still a nice day, they take you to the lake for you to enjoy a lunch break which had some awesome views

It was a pity that the day we did the hike, the peak was closed due to strong wind!!! so only did 45 min hike to view point 2. 😥 I wish i checked weather forecast in advance as I was looking forward to the hike. The lunch place was nice and food was delicious. As it’s only 2 of us so we were able to make another stop before end of the day. Really appreciate the flexibility.

I had a great day trip to Santa Ana Volcano with EC Tours. Everything was very well organized, including a lunch stop at a beautiful lake. Arely is an amazing guide, kind, friendly, and helpful. As a solo traveler, she kept checking in with me and made sure I was enjoying the experience. She speaks both Spanish and English (which was important for me as a non-Spanish speaker), and she also took amazing photos. The hike was challenging but definitely doable, and the views from the top were insanely beautiful. Absolutely well worth the effort!

Pickup was early- 7am- from San Salvador. There was a large construction project happening on the highway so we did need some extra time for traffic. The road up the side of the volcano is very curvy and I had to take some dramamine to avoid motion sickness. The hike itself is fairly difficult. It starts out not too bad, but gets complicated quickly. There's a ton of rocks and you have to step carefully. I would highly recommend wearing hiking boots and not sneakers. Also, be aware of the altitude. You start at approximately 6,000 feet and finish at around 7,500. If you're coming from sea level the altitude makes a big difference. Bring plenty of water and snacks. The view from the top is worth the climb. Definitely bring sunscreen- the high altitude, low latitude, and lack of shade combination caused some really nasty sunburns for people who weren't paying attention. After we climbed back down (it takes just as long going down since you have to step so carefully), it was about another 40 minutes to get to the restaurant on the lake. We didn't arrive until 2pm; I wish I had realized it would be this late and I would have brought a sandwich to eat at the top of the volcano. It took another 40 minutes to order and get our food, so be aware of the very late lunch time. You can swim at the restaurant in the lake if you want to. I didn't think to bring a bathing suit, and I wish I had; it would have been nice to get the dirt and sweat off from the hike. The drive back to San Salvador was about another 45 minutes. Must haves for the hike: hat, sunscreen, good hiking boots/shoes, a backpack with snacks/water.
