What To Expect
Zhujiajiao Ancient Town
Meet up your friendly private guide at your hotel lobby in the morning or afternoon based on your preferred schedule. Transferred by comfortable vehicle to Zhujiajiao, a water town on the outskirts of Shanghai, and was established about 1,700 years ago. Upon arrival, stroll along the old street and traditional market where you will find many interesting vendors and local specialties. You will also find the best known bridges, built during Ming and Qing Dynasties. Take a relaxing boat ride in the water canals, and your friendly private guide will share with you the history and story of the area. After the tour, your guide will send you back to the hotel in Shanghai city.

5.00The tour was great! We had a wonderful time with our local guide, Kalvin. He was very polite, kind, and knowledgeable. We learned so much about Chinese culture, and it truly felt like a real cultural lesson. Moreover, we enjoyed a delicious local dinner. It was a memorable experience, and we highly recommend this tour!

5.00Snow is a great guide. Super friendly and knowledgeable. Her English is also very good. We had a really fun day with her and the excellent driver. We finished the day with a lovely traditional dinner with Snow and had lots of laughs.

5.00Very late booking on the train to Shanghai. Excellent service from Alana with booking and pickup for 0830 the following day. A perfect half day tour to get out of the city and enjoy the former rural area of water and land only an hour from downtown. Kelvin was an excellent and knowledgable guide through Mr Ma family garden and water tour and market stalls. Great selection of local food and products. Very good transfer to and from. Highly recommend this 5hr trip.

Queena, my guide was also fantastic. Great knowledge and we had interesting discussions and her English is perfect. 5.00This was an amazing tour that I highly recommend, and our tour guide Queena was outstanding! I learned an incredible amount about Zhujiajiao and Shanghai from Queena, and she was very accommodating, thougful, and considerate of our group's interests thoughout the tour. We saw many breathtaking sights, learned a vast amount about the culture and customs, had delicious food, and listened to beautiful local music. This is a must-do tour for travelers to Shanghai!

5.00We were very grateful to Zheng and Hu for their time and Alana for arranging everything the night before. We had a wonderful adventure. Zheng was so knowledgeable and took the time to explain a lot to us about both Shanghai and Zhujiajiao. He was very kind to both our kids, and we appreciate he took time to make sure we had some family photos at different times during the tour. The lunch spot that Alana organised had an amazing atmosphere and the food Zheng ordered was spectacular, fresh local specialities. We felt very lucky to have experienced it and the half day worked perfectly for young kids. We felt very comfortable with Zheng and Hu and it made it easy getting from place to place with young kids.
