What To Expect
Shared Shuttle & Boat Transfer from La Fortuna (Arenal Volcano) to Tortuguero Travel comfortably from La Fortuna to Tortuguero with this seamless land-and-water transfer, combining scenic views and wildlife spotting along the way. We pick up guests directly from hotels and Airbnbs in La Fortuna between 7:30 AM and 8:00 AM. From there, enjoy a comfortable drive through the lush Costa Rican countryside to La Pavona dock, the main gateway to Tortuguero. Upon arrival, you’ll board a covered motorboat for a relaxing journey through the famous Tortuguero canals. The boat ride lasts approximately 2.5 to 3.5 hours, depending on water conditions and final hotel location. As you navigate through the rainforest waterways, keep your eyes open for incredible wildlife, including monkeys, sloths, turtles, crocodiles, and a wide variety of tropical birds. This transfer doubles as a nature experience, guided by our knowledgeable captain and assistant. At the end of the journey, you’ll be dropped off directly at your hotel in Tortuguero.
