If your ship is late or delayed and you have an early tour, don't panic! We will wait and give you reasonable and sufficient time to get off the ship so that you can still enjoy your tour. Remember to keep our number handy just in case you need to reach us in case of a delay or very early arrival.
You should bring along the following items: bathing suit, towel, sunscreen, and cash for lunch, drinks and souvenirs. Drinks on the tour bus are complimentary.
While shopping or at the beach, your items will be secured in the front cab of the tour bus.
If Shopping is part of your tour, once you're finished, we meet at the Liberty Bell in Emancipation Park. Shops close at 1:00 PM on Sundays.
Coki Beach and Sapphire Beaches are free but Magens Bay has an entrance fee of $7.00 per person.
Your Tour Package does not include the beach entrance fee, Coral World entrance fee or any other activity.
Free drinks are provided on the tour buses all day for our passengers.
What To Expect
Godfrey Tours
Godfrey Tours will pick you up at your ship or hotel at and take you shopping in downtown Charlotte Amalie. Once done with shopping, you can board again for a scenic two hour sightseeing tour of the island. Our tour will take you to the Mafolie Hotel to overlook the Bluebeard and Blackbeard's pirate castles, then up to the highest point, the mountain top where you will find the famous rum daiquiri. We'll continue the tour and enjoy the view of Hassel island, Water Island, and the island of St. Croix along the way. We'll continue to Sir Francis Drake seat, (the British pirate) overlooking Magens Bay. Once we get to the beach area, you can select the beach of your choice (Megan's Bay, Coki Beach or Sapphire Beach) and enjoy for another two hours after which we will take you back to your ship on time. Beach entrance fee is NOT included in package price.

5.00I highly recommend this activity with Godfrey tours. Mr Godfrey was very knowledgeable, patient and kind to all the tourists. I highly recommend this activity if you're visiting the Virgin Islands in St Thomas.
I saw so much of St Thomas on this tour.

2.00My family booked this as a way to experience a lot since we we only in St. Thomas for 3 days. There was confusion about meeting location because the booking site had initially suggested we could be picked up from our hotel and we ended up having to drive to the cruise ship port. Our bus initially just had our group off of 8. They dropped us at an open air market for over an hour, didnt explain much of anything just told us to go shop and he would come back. It was sweltering. When he came back his bus had like 6 other people on it. We all loaded on and then we sat there for like 20min while they tried to shove 6 more people on an already full bus. Ultimatle they did and we were all uncomfortable. They took us up to the top of mountain to another shopping center. They did give some history but we were so hot and frustrated at this point half my group wanted to leave. We made 2 view stops down the mountain. At the first we finally got the promised could drinks and the second was another shopping stop. By this time some people had to go back to their cruise ship. My group was hot tired and did not feel like going to the paid beach. So we opted off. Would not recomend.
Just like the tour offered by the Cruise companys at fraction of the cost

4.00This is the second time doing this type of a tour in St. Thomas ( shopping downtown, a stop at Mountaintop, and a stop a Magens Bay Beach). Last time we booked directly with the big cruise company. This time we went through Tripadvisor. I have to say the itinerary for these two tours was almost identical. The difference is that booking with Godfrey Tours through tripadvisor was about 1/3 the cost as booking with the cruise company. We had Godfrey as our tour guide. He was kind and professional. He provided a lot of interesting commentary about the island along the way. There was some slight logistical issues picking us up in the morning and they ended up being a bit late, but they had a representative at the port communicating this with us so we at least knew what was going on...Ultimately it was not that big of a deal. Magens Bay Beach is the highlight of this tour. this beach is a must see. we spent about 2 hours at the beach, and honestly I could have spent the entire day. It is such a beautiful beach. If you want to snorkel, you will need to bring your own equipment or rent it at the beach. since its a sandy bottom beach, there isnt a ton of tropical fish like a reef but we did see sea turtles, sting rays, and eagle rays while snorkeling around. The Banana daiquiris at mountaintop are actually really good!! (we got ours without rum). We had banana daiquiris at other places and the ones we had at mountaintop were by far the best. the only thing I would change was that they took us shopping first and I think that should be the last stop. by going shopping first, some places weren't open yet and it was too early to eat at one of the restaurants, which we would have like to have done if it were later in the day. all in all I would highly recommend booking this tour with Godfrey Tours.

3.00Godfrey was a great hospitable guide. The shopping stop was first and we had just the right amount of time to not overspend. The views along the trip are spectacular. The bartender at the Mountain Top bar gave a generous pour to top the banana daiquiri. The daiquiri was so worth it. Magens Bay was beautiful and the water was perfect. However the beach was crowded and almost chaotic. It was difficult to enjoy the beach stop which was the last and longest stop. I would probably skip the beach if I had it to do again.

1.00Worst company EVER..... We prepaid and they never bothered to pick us up. No message of any cancelation and we paid for a taxi to get there and back with no refund. When we called to find out where they were, their voicemail said it was full. We saw their vehicle pass Sapphire Beach which was the pick up location. We chatted with Viator whom we booked this excursion with. They claimed Godfrey Tours sent a cancelation message and said we would be refunded. We received that message later that afternoon, so be careful you don't get the runaround too. Apparently they like to overbook and we were the ones on vacation they picked to try to mess up our day. Didn't work.........

5.00We only did the sightseeing and beach portion of this tour. It was a 4 hour tour and our pickup time was 10:30. Since they stagger who is doing what portion of the tour there are drop offs and pick ups along the way. We did the Mountain Top which was absolutely stunning. The day we were there it was very busy so after standing outside to hear the story and then take photos there was not enough time to shop or buy a drink. Not an issue as we knew that we would have that option later. There are stops along the way down- also stunning views. We spent 2 hours at Maegan’s Bay Beach- $7 entry per person and we rented 2 chairs with umbrella for $40. Lovely beach- was in the water quite a while. We did not get back to our cruise ship until around 4:30. Obviously this was later than 4 hours. Our driver was well aware of when our cruise ship was leaving port so we had no concerns at all. It is a stunning island and we enjoyed driving around to see the different parts as we did drop off/ pick up. The extended time is no way a negative thing for us but just an FYI if you are planning on a strict tour window that may or may not happen. You are on “island time”.

5.00Totally worth the price! Did the 6 hour tour which was slightly longer but saw so much. Godfrey is full of information about the island. We were picked up earlier than planned but that was communicated via text the night before. No waiting around as mentioned in other reviews. Plenty of cold drinks for the whole day! Everything was perfect!

1.00I was texted at 2am to tell me that my picked up time changed from noon to 9:30am, then after I confirmed, I received a cancelation text. Promise I'd a refund that I did not get, but will dispute if not received in 2 days.
