This Skagway shore excursion shows you a glimpse of Canada's legendary north country. On this half-day tour by mini-bus, you'll travel up to the White Pass, cross the border into Canada and travel the Klondike Highway in British Columbia. You'll see incredible scenery and maybe even spot native wildlife roaming the spectacular scenery. The turnaround point is the Yukon border and Welcome to the Yukon sign for a great photo. As a bonus, we include a stop at the Yukon Suspension Bridge! View the Tutshi river canyon while crossing the bridge and see educational displays. Also available are clean, flush restrooms (the only ones available on the tour route), snack bar to purchase food, and Yukon gift shop. Going to the Yukon border makes this tour unique among tour options that do similar itinerary. We go farther!
All passengers must bring a current valid passport (and/or USA/Canada Visa if required by your nationality). No copies of documents allowed.

An original valid passport is required to bring on the day of travel (no copies). If your ship holds your Passport, you can request to have it back for the day of the tour.
For non-USA/Canadian citizens a USA and/or Canadian Visa may be required (no copies). You MUST confirm and obtain any Visa requirements prior to the tour. All Visa requirements are the sole responsibility of the traveler
Children 15 or younger must bring a Passport (or if USA or Canadian citizen can bring an original/certified birth certificate-no copies). Children 16 and older and all adults must have a valid Passport. If one or both parents are not traveling with the child, a notarized letter of authorization from the absent parent(s) is also necessary to enter Canada.
Pick up location: Look for a representative holding a FRONTIER EXCURSIONS sign. Please be 15 minutes early. Please bring your Passports. For Broadway and Ore dock, meet off the pier where the dock meets land just outside the security gate next to a large parking area. For the Railroad dock, there are two docking positions. For ships tendering to the small boat harbor, walk up the ramp after disembarking the tender and look to your left for Zone B meeting area. If you are taking a shuttle bus off the pier from your ship, once you get off the shuttle bus look to your right for Zone B. Zone B is near Skagway Fish Co.
Not scooter accessible. No battery operated equipment can be loaded onto buses. Collapsible wheelchairs or Walkers can be accommodated providing the passenger is accompanied by someone who can assist them to board and disembark. Passenger must be able to walk some and boarding bus requires a few steps. YOU MUST INFORM OPERATOR IF ARE BRINGING A COLLAPSIBLE WHEELCHAIR OR WALKER.
At the time of booking, traveler must provide their cruise ship name. If not on a cruise ship please contact operator for meeting instructions.

5.00I have taken both the train and now this is the bus, the bus was far more extensive with opportunities to stop and take pictures as well as go to the suspension bridge, which was beautiful as well as going to the Yukon border. I think it was much better experience than the train and we had a great guide this is his name Andrew Andrew who resembled Ron Weasley from Harry Potter.

5.00Jay was our guide, and he was beyond good. He had given us a tour for 5 of us, and it was AMAZING!!! We booked with Kate by email, and she helped us adjust the tour so we didn't go to the suspension bridge since I am afraid of heights. He took us up to Canada, the same route the train takes. He stopped a few times for us to take pictures and wander around at the waterfalls and lake. On the way home, Jay found a bear along side the road eating the dandelions and turned around - the bear crossed the road, but it was so much fun to see him up close and just loved it!! We also saw mountain goats and eagles. AND it did take more than 4 hours, which should have cost more, but we were having so much fun and I think he enjoyed our group too, and he didn't ask for more money, but maybe should have if we had known ahead. We were having so much fun that I didn't realize it had been 5 hours instead of 4 until it was nearly over - so we tipped him more to try to make up for it, - but it was amazing and fun, and we loved every minute!! I can't praise this compnay enough. They were wonderful and flexible, and so much fun!!

5.00This was one of the highlights of our Alaska cruise! The scenery on the drive to the Yukon Border was absolutely breathtaking, and the suspension bridge offered incredible views and great photo opportunities. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the tour fun from start to finish. If you're visiting Skagway, I highly recommend this excursion!
Far better trip than the train

5.00I’ve taken the train before, I much prefer this. The train is difficult to take photos from. Rarely stops. We had frequent photo stops. Better places to stop by far. No way I’d ever recommend taking the train to a friend.

5.00The trip took about 4 hours and a half. We were picked up at the dock and Mike the guide was very friendly and talkative all the time. He brought us to lots of photo shooting places and killed the silence along the way by introducing the city, the nature, the life in Skagway and so on. We stopped at the suspension bridge for about 45 minutes and it was beautiful. We got the chance to take pictures at the signs of welcome to Yukon and Alaska (respectively). The only pity was that we did not get a chance to spot any wild lives, but the whole trip was enjoyable and relaxing.

Great Drive to The Yukon

5.00The tour was outstanding. The scenery was amazing. The bus was comfortable as our tour had 16 people on it so we were not cramped. Our tour guide, Connor, was a wealth of knowledge about the area and the gold rush. Twice he stopped and double back so the group could see a bear and moose. Overall, a great tour.

5.00I think there were about 30 of us (from different cruise ships docked on that day) in the school bus. I found this to be a comfortable number for such a tour. Our guide was very pleasant and informative. He gave us plenty of photo stops along the way with enough time without feeling rushed.

5.00This was a fabulous experience. We loved everything about it. Our driver and guide Mike was outstanding- extremely knowledgeable and very funny, while his driving was exceptional. My wife is very prone to travel sickness on buses, but felt the drive was smooth throughout, which is a big compliment. The tour showed us so much of what Alaska has to offer, and the frequent stops allowed us to take wonderful photos. We realy enjoyed the stop at the Yukon suspension bridge and the lake.
