We were a family group aged 48 to 93 & all *loved* the tour. Marissa shared tons of interesting information with us and was lots of fun; the time flew by! She was very accommodating and we would highly recommend this tour to anyone. Thank you, Marissa!

Marissa was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish. She greeted us warmly, had everything organized for the border crossing into Canada, and made the entire day feel effortless. Her knowledge of Skagway, the Klondike Gold Rush, the Yukon, local wildlife, and the history of the region was incredible. She shared fascinating facts throughout the day, but what really made her stand out was how she mixed in personal stories and local insight that made us feel connected not only to the area, but to the people who call it home. I've been on a lot of guided tours over the years, and this was easily one of the top five I've ever experienced. Marissa clearly knows the area inside and out. I loved that she wasn't locked into a rigid script. If a stop was crowded or conditions weren't ideal, she adjusted on the fly and took us somewhere better. It was obvious that her priority was giving us the best possible experience, not simply checking boxes on an itinerary. She was also incredibly knowledgeable about the sled dogs and the mushing community. You could tell she is well respected and genuinely passionate about what she does. Throughout the day she went above and beyond, offering to hold bags, helping guests, pointing out wildlife, and even taking fantastic photos for people. Most importantly, she made everyone feel welcome and taken care of. By the end of the tour, it felt less like we had spent the day with a guide and more like we had spent the day with a knowledgeable local friend who wanted to show us the very best of her corner of Alaska. Thank you, Marissa!

This tour was perfect!! We went to the Tormented Valley and Tutshi Lake and took cool pictures. Then we went to the Yukon to a Musher camp and played with adorable puppies and got to experience being pulled by sled dogs. We took amazing pictures at the "Welcome to Alaska" sign. The tour guide Marissa was so much fun and she stopped several times when we encountered wild life (bears and moose) so we could see them up close. My brother decided to go on the train and instantly regretted it when he heard my experience.

If you're docked in Skagway, do yourself a favor and book this tour. A short walk from the ship, you're on a bus headed through the Klondike Highway with Marissa as your guide. Energetic, quirky, and packed with historical knowledge, she makes the drive as entertaining as the scenery (and the scenery is stunning). Multiple stops at lookout points mean you actually get out, stretch your legs, and take photos (something the train simply can't offer.) She even pivoted the route based on weather to get us a better view, which says a lot about how much she cares about the experience. The Musher Camp was an added bonus. We learned about sled dog racing, took a ride with mountain views all around, and got to pet the puppies which my kids loved. I debated hard over this or the famous train ride, and am SO happy with my decision. Fair warning: it's a long tour, so bring snacks and water. But every minute is filled with beauty and history. One of the best excursions we've done on any cruise.

Felt like multiple excursions packed in one. Everything is amazing - Marissa the guide, the view, puppies and the dog sledding. It was a smaller trip and we got to make multiple photo stops on the way with no rush and Marissa took great photos of us at each stop. Even saw a bear along the way. So glad I found and book this excursion - highly recommend!!

Our tour operator was very knowledgeable and informative. It was a small tour group so we got a little extra time to stop and take picture at different areas. The dog sledding was awesome! Got to hold puppies!! The dogs were well taken care of and very happy and excited to pull us around thier training route. I would highly recommend this tour to everyone. I would do again!

Simply outstanding! We has such a good time. There were only 11 on the tour so it felt like you got personal attention. Marisa is very knowledgeable and outgoing. We got great information and sites you couldn’t get on the big ship excursions. The dog sledding was a great experience and we saw some wildlife along the way. She gave us some excellent recommendations for shopping and food when we got back to town as well. Avoid the “canned” tours from the boats and get a tour from someone that obviously loves what she does!

Great experience. We knew we were going to get time with the dogs, but the ride up to the camp was filled a number of stops to take in the scenic views in the mountains. Marissa was a great tour guide. The dog camp was great; we enjoyed the interaction with all the dogs. Definitely recommend.

We had a most memorable day in skagway two weeks ago with Marissa. She is an awesome guide- friendly , funny and organized. She told us quite a bit of the history of the area but in and interesting and often humerous way. We took the tour to the sled dog camp and it was outstanding. The scenery along the ride is just gorgeous and the ride is filled with Marissa's excellent commentary. And then there is the puppies. I could have sat with those fluffy little furballs all day. The sled dog ride was so much fun with gorgeous scenery surrounding us. I have tremendous respect for those dogs. They are true athletes and really enjoy their job. The brief talk about the Iditarod was interesting and it is clear that the dogs are well cared for . On our way back Marissa spotted two bears and we were able to stop and see them up close. I cannot recommend this trip and Marissa highly enough. It was a day we will never forget.
