A full day of touring in a van with 2 other couples which stops at a number of interesting historic sites on the island. The highlight is the standing stones which pre-date Stonehenge.

This was a small group personal experience. The native/local guide was fabulous. Our experience was customized to our interests and needs. I highly recommend the Hebridean tour company that Viator linked us with.

We absolutely loved everything! Best tour and the "Cruise Exclusives" by Gordon were the best. Gordon was very informative and he took us places that were awesome and made us laugh the whole time. He even stopped to whistled for some sheep, and they froze because they thought the dog would come. Such a great picture our small group shared. Blackhouse, Arnol and Beaches were my favorites. I would highly recommend Hebridean Isle Tours and Gordon! Thanks again for an awesome time! PS Love the black pudding at Cross Stores and the IRN BRU at the beach!!!! Thanks again and we will be back!

This was a magnificent tour. We covered a lot of territory, but never felt rushed. They answered every question I had, were patient with all of us and very knowledgeable. It was a small group tour and felt very laid back, which was a refreshing change from the big bus tours. I felt like I had one on one attention with our guide the whole time. They even threw ion a couple extra things before they too us back to the cruise ship. Filling every minute we had with interesting stuff!

Hugh is highly skilled and knowledgeable in unlocking the historic and current wonderments of Isle of Skye. We appreciated his sense of humour. The full day tour was well paced and we saw the beauty of the Isle as well as some important historical sights—which have piqued our curiosity to learn more history. This is what travel should be! Thanks Hugh.

Amazing! Our tour guide, Hugh, was great. He took us to awesom location on Isle of Lewis and provided historical information on the sites, as well as local lore. Of seven tours at seven ports (on a cruise) this was the highlight. It is a must-do if you get anywhere near the Outer Hebrides. Thank you, Hugh!

I want to thank Hugh for such a fabulous tour of Lewis! I truly cannot recommend this experience enough. The day began with Hugh picking us up right at our B&B. Since my husband and I were the only two on the tour, we were especially grateful for Hugh’s policy of running tours regardless of the number of people booked. We were blessed with fantastic weather, which provided spectacular views and endless photo opportunities. Our first stop was the Butt of Lewis near the lighthouse at the northern tip of the island—picture breathtaking, rugged cliffs and crashing surf that seem to go on for miles. From there, the day was a whirlwind of incredible sites, including: * Port of Ness * Clach an Trushal (the tallest standing stone in Scotland) * Arnol Black House * Dun Carloway Broch (built in 2 AD) * Dalmore Beach (where we enjoyed a scenic picnic lunch) * Callanish Standing Stones Hugh was the perfect guide: incredibly knowledgeable, full of entertaining stories, and mindful of our pace. We never felt rushed and had plenty of time to explore each location. As a side note for future travelers: there is no restaurant stop, so be sure to bring a packed lunch to enjoy a picnic on a beautiful beach! While every stop was wonderful, the highlight for me was the Callanish Standing Stones. They were the primary reason I came to Lewis, and I cannot put into words what it felt like to finally see and touch them in person. Everything else was a bonus, but if you are fascinated by standing stones, Stonehenge doesn’t hold a candle to these—you simply must come to Lewis and book with Hugh. My only regret is that we didn’t stay an extra day to tour Harris. Thank you again, Hugh, for the wonderful memories! I hope we can return one day to see Harris with you as well.
