Pyla Surf School has an exceptional team of teachers dedicated to helping students succeed with maximum enjoyment. Our team provides advice and support for each student to meet their needs.
Passionate by birth and long experienced, BPJEPS graduates by the French State and the French Surf Federation, our instructors also have a Federal Initiator's Certificate and an ISA (International) and all the qualifications required to share our sport in a fun way , educational and safe.

What To Expect
Surf lessons are located on the ocean beaches south of the Arcachon Basin on the beach of South Salie. Guests can park in the parking lot of the south salie. The car park is located at the left side entrance of the car park of the beach of Salie. Quality teaching will be provided with revision or acquisition of the basics (position, supports, posture, placement, etc.), knowledge of the environment and educational progress, all in complete safety. The aim is to acquire sufficient autonomy to be able to practice alone (e) safely for oneself and others. Equipment and liability insurance included. From 6 years old. Group lessons consist of up to 8 students per instructor. Their duration is 2 hours of which 1h30 minimum in water. Courses every day with several schedules available to meet everyone’s expectations.

Surf like a pro from the first lesson

5.00Having never approached a surfboard before our arrival for 2 of us (out of 3), thanks to Mike’s pedagogy, good advice and patience, we managed to stand and surf the waves at the end of the session (longer at least depending on our learning ability). A very good time with a very friendly instructor. Not to be missed!

5.00We took 4 days surf lesson with Jeremy and we loved it! Jeremy and his team are super cool as a coach, the Good Mood reigns throughout the lesson! In addition, compared to other schools we had been able to do, the 2h lessons with Jeremy begin once we are in the water. It does not count the preparation time and explanation, which is quite rare!! I highly recommend if you want to learn/progress while having fun with enthusiasts!

5.00Enzo was our instructor, his instruction was world class, he spoke really good English and had the 3 of us standing by the end of the lesson. I can’t recommend this activity enough. We started with a short mini bus trip from the car park, then a 15/20 minute walk along a loose sand track to the beach. I only mention this a we weren’t aware of it and you have to do it again at the end. This was a pretty physical activity, I recommend taking a bag, towel, plenty of water and sun screen. We were so stoked at the end that the walk back didn’t seam too bad!

5.00Mike and the team were awesome. We had a group of 10, 8 of whom were complete beginners and he had everyone catching waves and standing up by the end of the session. The beach was stunning and is well worth the trip.

5.00Mike and Jeremy welcomed us very well. We took beginner level family surf lessons on the beach of salie. Theoretical learning, warm-up, safety rules and water accompaniment if necessary. I recommend this surf school
