Ritsurin Garden
Ritsurin Garden is widely regarded as one of Japan's most beautiful landscape gardens. Designed over a century around six ponds and thirteen scenic hills, with the wooded slopes of Mt. Shiun as a borrowed backdrop, its winding paths reveal a new postcard-perfect view at every turn. Stroll among teahouses, arched bridges, and pine groves shaped by generations of gardeners.
Takamatsu Castle
Takamatsu Castle, also called Tamamo Castle, is one of Japan's rare seaside castles, with moats that were once filled with seawater drawn directly from the Seto Inland Sea. Today the grounds form Tamamo Park, where surviving turrets, stone walls, and gates sit among pine trees and a tranquil strolling garden overlooking the harbor.
