Carolyn is a wonderful tour guide. She provides very interesting historical information and its role in local foods. Each sample was excellent and reflected the true tastes of Tucson.

Carolyn gave such an excellent tour of Tucson. She started us with a delicious cookie while giving a very informed history of Tucson. We walked around a bit and looked at buildings and murals. You would never guess Carolyn hadn’t lived n the area her whole life. Once the food started, it didn’t stop! From tacos to Sonoran hot dogs to pizza and ice cream, we did it all. Carolyn handled all of the orders and we were able to simply enjoy. She even gave some great recommendations for dinner and other areas to explore. Would go on any tour this amazing woman offered. If you want to see the bones of Tucson, book with Carolyn. ♥️ 🌵 🌭

This was one of the highlights of our visit to Tucson. Our guide, Carolyn, a James Beard Award-winning chef, shared fascinating insights into the city's food scene, history, culture, and Indigenous culinary traditions. Each of the five stops offered something unique, from a classic Sonoran hot dog to amazing local ice cream. The food was delicious, and the knowledge and enthusiasm of our guide made the tour exceptional. Highly recommended!

Wonderful historical tour with lots of colorful stories mixed in to make it a lot more interesting than just the facts and figures. Food part was good. Be prepared to fill up on high carbs. That’s just Tucson food! Loads of corn and flour dishes.

It can be hot under the AZ sun, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, water are necessary. The guide is a chef and knows her way around the Tucson foodie scene and is passionate both about the food and Tucson history. I had not expected the history portion of the tour so that was a delight. I also liked that the guide made a distinction between facts with footnotes and unsubstantiated but plausible parts.
