What To Expect
Skippers Canyon
As travellers enter Skippers Canyon vis out 4WD, they’re met with dramatic cliffside roads, rugged mountain scenery, and breathtaking views over the turquoise Shotover River far below. The canyon feels remote and untouched, with historic gold mining relics, old stone cottages, and winding gravel roads that transport visitors back to New Zealand’s gold rush era.
Arrowtown
As travellers arrive in Arrowtown, they step into one of New Zealand’s most charming and historic villages. Surrounded by colourful mountains and tree-lined streets, Arrowtown is known for its beautifully preserved gold rush cottages, boutique shops, cosy cafés, and relaxed alpine atmosphere. Guests can wander along the historic main street, explore stories from the gold mining era, and enjoy the peaceful charm of this small mountain town beside the Arrow River.
