What To Expect
Akumal Beach
It is a guided tour to the protected area of turtles, where we guarantee to see several turtles in their natural habitat (loggerhead, green and white turtles). We can also see tropical fish, manta rays, squid, reefs and corals in various colors. The guided tour includes Snorkeling

Fantastic turtle experience

5.00We were met by Aaron when we arrived at Akumal in our taxi. We went with our 7yr old daughter who is a good swimmer and has snorkelled before. It was only a small group of 7 led by Charlie and others in the group had not snorkelled before but Charlie was very patient and nobody got left behind. We saw 6 green turtles including a very large one. We also swam to a small reef with corals and fish. There was no rush and everyone saw turtles. Charlie took photos and videos of us and sent them free of charge which is a massive bonus. There are lockers for your stuff (100 pesos refunded deposit for a padlock) showers and changing area. Doing it by ourselves rather than with a tour company meant we could stay in the area and snorkel further up the beach. It was also half the price even factoring in the taxi to / from the hotel. I would advise getting there early morning. It opens at 8am. It’s not as busy and a bit cooler which is good as you cannot wear suncream. As we were leaving at midday there were a lot more people going into the water. I cannot recommend this enough and we loved it so much we will be booking again next week before we go home.

5.00Aaron’s turtle tour was amazing! We had our guide Charley all to ourselves. We were their first tour of the day and saw lots of turtles, stingrays, fish and even a large eagle ray. Charley was super knowledgeable and took great pictures. I highly recommend Aaron’s tours and swimming with the turtles.

5.00The tour was excellent. It is a national protected area and the guides are all organized by the park. It is well run. Our guide was excellent at spotting turtles, but not much for explaining things. We saw multiple turtles, which was exactly what we wanted. TripAdvisor made it more difficult than it needed to be to communicate and to get directions Arrange directly rather than through TripAdvisor.

1.00We're welcome, so far. Then they leave us in the locker room and we have no explanation. We were grafted into another group without knowing anything. As for the photos, forget it! Not able to reach the person who was filming. The tour operator's not answering me. We'll never see the color of those pictures. We were treated like numbers.
They did such an amazing job helping us beginners feel so comfortable.

5.00This was an incredible experience and Charlie, or particular tour guide was amazing. Aaron was so easy to communicate with via WhatsApp. We went with our 2yr old and 8yr old. We did not expect our 2yr to go but she did! She got in the little donut with a mini lifejacket and floated around tethered to our guide so we could comfortably snorkel around all the areas he took us too. We saw so many turtles and schools of fish. The moment of arrival they were so organized. And then after the tour we had the rest of the day at the beautiful beach. Very highly recommended. Will definitely book it again with this company. Thank you!!

5.00We really enjoyed the experience! It was great to see the Turtles in their natural environment. Our guide was very helpful! We only booked the turtles instead of including with another stop and that was great. We went in the morning when it wasn't too busy and took our time in the water.

5.00This tour was PERFECT! A seamless meet-up with the company at the gates to Akumal beach. A quick stop to pick-up gear. A short walk to the beach, and we were in the water! Our guides were wonderful! They have us a very quick lesson of how to keep ourselves and the turtles safe, and out we went. We had THREE toddlers, a teenager and 2 adults in our group. Many and Chino were AWESOME with the kids and even put out littlest in the bouy ring to drag him to the turtle area! They spotted turtles and sting rays for us and made sure the kids saw them surface as well as underwater! They took photos for us on a GoPro that we purchased for a very reasonable $26USD. I am SO impressed with this tour group! Thank you Aaron, Many and Chico!
